Just a quick question regarding fuel type.

Bentley Motors recommend that I put, what I call "Super Unleaded" in the tank. I always do this as it's what they suggest.

However, tomorrow my wife and I are heading off to South West France, last time I was over there in a different car, I seem to remember finding petrol stations, particularly on Sundays was a bit tricky.

So my question is this..... If I do get to a smaller petrol station and Super Unleaded is not available, leaving Regular Unleaded as the only option, will it be harmful to the car, or effect it's performance in anyway if I refuel with this?

Many thanks

Allister

You will find 98 octane sans plomb widely available - more so than in the uk. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Allister.

Most of the Supermarkets have 24/7 pay at the pump facilities.
I've never had a problem finding 98 Octane super unleaded here.

As for 95 Octane, if it's like the Conti' GT, you can use it although there is a small drop in performance, not that you would notice I reckon.

Enjoy the trip.

Cheers. Les.

Hi Andy

Thank you for the reply and I loved your video...... My car is pretty much identical to the one you were driving, trim and colour wise (Extreme Silver with Linen) so it was really nice to see a video featuring it.

That said, mine is only the 2016 model year, which means same gearbox, engine and body shape, but no facelift front grill, lights or new onboard tech which your's would have had - On the upside though, mine being a 2016 model year meant I got an unbelievable discount off list price smile

The trip to France was fantastic..... As you discovered for yourself, this car can really move, so those long straight smooth french roads, with nothing in sight for as far as the eye can see, meant I was really able to open her up.

120 felt like 80 (of course I'm talking KPH smile ) - The weight and build quality of this car ensures that it feels firmly planted on the road, regardless of speed, enabling it to eat through miles at an unbelievable rate.

That said, I was quite happy to get back to the UK and drive at a more leisurely pace, as while this car is very capable of high speeds, a slower more sedate ride is when I enjoy this car the most.

After covering just short of 2,000 miles in 5 days, once back home, it took me just over 4 hours to get the car thoroughly cleaned and back to perfect.

She's now back in the garage ahead of next weeks trip - Looking for a second home in Somerset / Devon.
