The Arteon lease thread
Discussion
With my 280, I'll can only get above 40mpg on a motorway run, low 30's around town
I've experience of the 1.5 mpg figures but only in a Golf, I'd think that the weight difference of an Arty over a Golf would play a big factor, on average I think you'd be looking at mid/high 30's at best

Has anyone taken out a maintenance package with their Arteon?
I've been offered the following, so currently doing some research to see if either are worth while.
1. Service and Maintenance £12.84 per month
2. Service, Maintenance and Tyres £33.20
This if for an R-Line 2.0 TSI on a 15k miles per year on a 2 year lease.
Cheers

I've had a single service on my Arton (2.0 TSi DSG), this came up at 19,000 miles and cost £195. (Car was set on long life servicing, make sure yours is)I've been offered the following, so currently doing some research to see if either are worth while.

If you are doing 15,000 a year, you should only need one service.
For tyres, I've has to replace the fronts, 19" P-Zeros were £112 each including fitting through Oponeo.

I have now spotted three Arteons on the road since Christmas - a yellow one between Northampton and Peterborough yesterday - very easy to spot in that colour! Still surprised how few there seem to be around - even mentioned them to a few car nut mates and they had not heard of them, although both asked if it was based on a Phaeton after seeing pics!
What are your impressions of quality of interior material and how it's all put together? Had a test drive in Audi A6 with salesman who worked for 10 years for VW and said Arteon is not as good as Audi, but to be honest, Audi is not that great.
Wouldn't mind reading more about 280 version as well. Looking at almost new ones or to lease one. Trying to find a car model that doesn't attract luxury road tax, which is tricky when considering big cars with good spec.
