I'm only on 3K so the car is estimating a service is due after ~11K miles (my job changed after I got the car and I can now walk to work instead, hence the low mileage!)
I've not anything tell me a service is due yet so I'll just keep driving till it tells me.... I'll contact Skoda and see what they say. thumbup

I don't have any notifications either in the car telling me that a service is due soon - I had an email from the supplying dealer that prompted me to check on the car infotainment screen at servicing info.

Yep, spoke to Skoda who said check the CAR menu on the screen and click settings bottom right, then service at the bottom. It tells you when the inspection and oil is due. Mine's s

Anyone else’s brakes really noisy first thing in the morning? Like a rough grinding noise? I assume it’s the pads cleaning the corrosion off the disks but I’ve never had a car sound so rough!

I’ve had mine for 13 Months now. And it’s still showing another 55 days till it’s due a service. Are we to go with this information or should it be every 12 months? I’m debating booking it in for next week as I’m worried they will try and sting me with not keeping to the service schedule of 12 months.

Also are we suppose to have a service book, as I never got one?

Mine are noisy as well, seems like nearside rear that's noisy. Normally ok after a few minutes just sounds a bit dodgy first couple of brakes...

The bird at Skoda told me to go off what the info said on the screen. I think the oil change depends on how you've been driving it. My oil change is due before the inspection is.

I’m showing the above. Car hasn’t asked for a service and guessing it won’t till it’s within 30 days of the oil change service.

Should I ignore this and get it serviced as it’s 13 months old next week. All I can see on Skoda’s website is 12 month intervals. Mileage is only 5k at present.

Has anyone got a service book?

I have no service book, I'll just get mine serviced when it tells me to. Mine is 12months old in April. I've covered 9.5k to date.

Where are the best deals these days?

I'm looking for a VRS estate petrol manual.

Discounts are about 24/25% if you buy outright, but i want to see what's on offer via leasing as well. Thanks.

I’m now starting to explore a vrs as an option for my next car as it looks like the arteon I have ordered for July delivery is going to be massively delayed.

I had a 2013 vrs diesel estate previously, one of the last of the previous generation and it was a perfectly good car.

I take it the 245 isn’t affected by the WLTP issues that are causing delays?

I've been talking to a chap called Derrick about this deal from Motoplan:

https://leasing.com/independent-brokers/motoplan-l...

Really helpful I must say. Delivery has to be in March though and they only have Black Pearl, race blue, moon white or the metallic grey (no cost options though).

Also popped in to my local Skoda dealer today to have a look at one and I was really impressed overall, good quality cabin, loads of room, nice seats, big boot, all boxes ticked really.

I need something sooner than previously thought now so probably going to cancel. My Arteon order and go for this instead.

Might be worth having a check with them direct, they may be able to get hold of an estate.

Skoda don't issue them any more, as it's all recorded electronically. Personally I'd prefer to have one, but there we go!

Seems like a good deal that, got mine from National vehicle solutions, might be worth a look as well. The car is lovely an like you say ticks all boxes. Even at that price it's a steal

Have gone for it now instead of the Arteon.

Gone for race blue in the end, also comes with a spare wheel as an option I think. Also added maintenance as they only wanted £11 a month incl VAT, even if I gave a couple of new tyres and a service then I haven't lost out.

Can have delivery anytime in March but will wait until mid-end March probably.

Popped into my other local Skoda dealer at the weekend and they had a blue one in the showroom, can't wait!!

Looks like it comes with 18's and not the std 19's ? Presume the 18's are issued now as standard ?
