I have an SQ7 Vorsprung on order with a build date of next week, however the dealer has just told me that this has been delayed be 3-4 months now and I would be looking at delivery in April 2018.

The email from the dealer claims that all Q7 builds have been pushed back several months.

Does anyone know if this is true? I'm sceptical about what I've been told as the Audi UK tracker shows my order as being placed 2 weeks ago, even though it was actually placed with the dealer nearly 2 months ago.

Thanks

Any news of them putting a petrol engine in UK bound Q7s?

mmmm im interested in any news on this too - i have a one on order also - been about 3 weeks.
took about a week for it to appear on the audi tracker but hasnt moved from the welcome stage.
i wasnt necessarily worried about this as I wasnt expecting delivery until Feb march but this news is concerning - i havent heard anything from my dealer about this but might try find out what they know.
i wonder if it might be related to testing for RDE step 2 - pipe dream i know, but it would make me smile.

Have they offered you a courtesy car in the meantime?

Long story short, the dealer lied to me.

I placed the order based on a build slot they claimed they had, but when speaking to Audi UK they never had that build slot associated with my order.

Audi UK said there were a lot of orders, but no production delays. They were not happy that a dealer was lying about production issues (to cover a lie told to me) and were going to raise this with the dealer principal.

No courtesy car offered, but I am thinking of cancelling my order. I've had the run around enough times now.

Mine was delayed by about 6 months but I did order one of the very first and I ordered an Exclusive paint which caused all sorts of problems for the factory.

Get a build number and onto the myaudi subsite to track their best guess at the delivery date - it tends to bounce around a lot in the early days but does at least give you an idea and confirms you're in the system.

Oh, and the SQ7 is very much worth waiting for. A really epic engine and mine is averaging 33mpg!

And give the dealer hell for lying to you.

I thought I should chime in at this point as I'm in the same boat. I ordered In November, got the eight digit reference number for the tracker in December but it does not work. I chased this with AUK who confirmed the order was still with the factory with no build assigned. A month later and it's the same position. Has anyone had any updates?

I have had same problem after placing order for q7 on 16/12/17 I was told March.. After having tracking number i was following progress but it didn’t move from first stage. By end of feb I called the dealer and there had been a problem with the order so it got cancelled and they had to renew and end of June I will be having new q7 arrive (I hope).. not good at all from Audi. They just say it’s all new q7 car orders..
