Ok so had a call back from Lex.
The deal will not be honoured due to it being incorrectly calculated. They have instructed the brokers to contact customers affected with alternative products, this could be the same or different vehicles.
My credit file will be restored to the position it was before Lex marked it twice, this will complete in the next 7 days. Lex will send me a cheque for £50 as goodwill to apologise for the error on their side.
Shame as I fancied the A6 but onwards, at least I have an answer directly from the finance provider.

Did you receive a letter or just a call?
I've had a letter through the post this morning from LEX acknowledging my complaint and saying they are investigating. Looks like from what you said though that I'll end up with the £50!
Hi All,
Is anyone still waiting for a response from GB Vehicle leasing to get their £180 / £360 fee refunded?
I have tried to call and emailed a few times but no luck so far, they were very quick to take it but not so keen to hand it back. They knew the deal was a no go but still wanted us to believe there may be a chance or that there is another "amazing" deal in the pipeline.

Wife hasn't even heard from them to say that the deal is cancelled! If it wasnt for the two threads going, she would still think she is getting the A6.Is anyone still waiting for a response from GB Vehicle leasing to get their £180 / £360 fee refunded?

I have not been told it is cancelled either, had I not seen this and asked the question weeks ago of GBVL only to be told there are some complications but they are looking to get something arranged. I appreciate there may be quite a few punters due a refund and they will be desperate to get us all in to something else but the lack of communication is poor.In no rush as she was planning on ET of her Scirocco R (as she doesnt like it)

I never got an email from GB Leasing either to state it was under review with Lex or that it had been cancelled. I won't be using them again very poor service. Mine was refunded on 22/12, but still not received the money back onto my card. I chased up this morning and was sent the payment notification, so now stuck on the phone to my bank to clarify what has happened..Is anyone still waiting for a response from GB Vehicle leasing to get their £180 / £360 fee refunded?

Copy of the email I sent to Lex this morning
Hi Carol,
I’m not sure if you would be the right person this email is intended for, but I wanted to express my anger and frustration at Lex Autolease.
I placed an order for an Audi A6 Avant Black Edition 1.8 TFSI through GB Vehicle Leasing on 13th December (order number xxxxx). After being told I passed the finance checks, I received an email to confirm the order for my car had been placed with Lex Autolease. However a week later I received notification that I would not be getting the vehicle and that Lex Autolease had pulled the plug on the deal and cancelled all orders. I’ve paid a document fee to broker as they had ordered the vehicle which I’m still waiting to be refunded.
I would like to raise a formal complaint on the basis of an unnecessary credit check(s) now on my credit file which may affect any subsequent finance applications I will have to go for. As an institution regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority has Lex Autolease been compliant in performing credit searches which have been deemed redundant when they were unable to supply customers with vehicles? Can you also clarify how Lex Autolease will be handling my confidential data and details now that my order has been cancelled and that this is complaint with data protection. I would like this car, I can’t imagine Audi are best pleased there are hundreds of cancelled orders, but if this isn’t going to materialise I want my credit file restoring and a decent gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience and other lease deals that I’ve since missed.
What I am particularly disappointed with, is that I did not receive any apology from Lex Autolease yet. I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Still waiting for my refund from Blue Chilli Cars, which was promised last week.
I asked for the MD (who by the way is not really the MD as he's not listed on companies house!) anyway... I had mine refunded within about 30 minutes after speaking to him (and expressing my anger!). Maybe try that!Pigglesberg said:
