doh!!! Sliding doors isn't it?!
my brother is still outside his house banging his head against the wall as we speak after deciding back in 2014 to get a Camper Van instead of a B5 RS4.
Cue £16k into Camper Van - used it twice - cue kids arriving and it sitting outside for a year then having to sell it for £3k to a bunch of thieving s as he'd forgot to treat the roof and it had soaked up a full winters'worth of rain/hail/snow!!!!!
So now he's living his Audi crush through me!

Don't be silly.
Buy a good one and have a stupid V8 while you still can. A nice example is unlikely to depreciate a lot as people will still be wary of the same things in a years time.
There will be a time, not very far in the future, where dumb cars are too old, too unreliable, and too expensive to fuel. It's better to regret the things you have done than the things you haven't...

This, I have owned mine for 9 years and still thoroughly enjoying it. If the man maths work then get one.Buy a good one and have a stupid V8 while you still can. A nice example is unlikely to depreciate a lot as people will still be wary of the same things in a years time.

I didn’t own an S4, but having owned an A4 B7 for four years I can confirm the rear legroom is limited. If I had adults in the back I would need to move my drivers seat forward a few clicks, although I am 6’2”. But, if you don’t adults in the back often, or it will just be children you’ll be fine. The cabin space up front is fine, and I was always very comfortable.

Also check date of registration as March 2016 was when the CO2 related tax came in and this could be a £500 a year car. Other than that it looks very tidy and a bit too polished to me.
Wheels are immaculate.
Brake discs look pretty poor, probably £500 to change discs and pads all round.
There looks to be a crease in the rear bumper where it meets to tailgate, you can see the reflection show it up in the video.
Lastly if the car is 2 hours away from you it will be hassle if you have problems as they will want to do the work. I suggest you try and find something closer.

Do you use yours as a daily or a second car? I've read a few things about poor leg room in the rear seats, how do you find it?
I use it daily but as it is just me I don't have a problem with the poor rear legroom but this has always been a problem in the A4 design of any vintage, the A6 is better in this respect. The weekend car is a 997.2 C4S but if push came to shove I probably get rid of the porker. And yes March 2006.
Well it seems I've got more chance of getting the 997 off of you than the s4! Keep looking st this now, damn you Dr G, just need to get some more funds together!

For clarity I have nothing to do with this dealer but do know the car and previous owner.

"The big one" has just been done and previous owner took good care of it. It sneaks under the old tax rules too.

That is a nice looking car.
I'm having a love/hate thing with the pork at the moment i.e. love driving it but hate owning it. Last service was £1800 but ended up spending over £4k correcting the bodywork damage inflicted by the OPC that serviced it. They make Audi stealers look like angels.

keen to keep this thread moving!
I hope that's another urban myth re the manuals - did B7 S4 auto's come with flappy's?
also - and this is more a vanity thing! - are the body panels on the S4 identical to the 2.0 TSFi S-Line - I'd love if the S4 was slightly beefy'er - but I suspect it's not.
