Does anyone have a telephone number I can contact VWFS on to discuss early lease termination?

I can get through to the automatic system but need to speak to an actual person.
I spoke their terminations dept. yesterday, just called the usual number (0370 010 2007) and worked my way through the menus, got chatting to a human within seconds.

Hi All,
Hoping for all your help & expertise here!

I am due to have my Audi A4 inspected & collected next Friday (24th) by BCA due to an end of lease with VWFS.

Unfortunately when getting back to the car, which was parked at the train station yesterday, there was a sizable scrape & scuff above the drivers side wheel & front bumper. The bodywork isn't dented at all where the marks are.
Obviously, (because people are just great!!) there was no note or anything left on the car for the damage.

I've attached an image of the damage for reference.
Car is under mileage & immaculate bar this damage.

Audi / VWFS costs say that the scuffs & scratches that are down to metal are £110 / panel.

Do you think that i'm better getting chips away to fix or take my chances with BCA? Seems like the BCA route is dependant on the inspector who turns up & which way the wind is blowing!! rolleyes

Any help would be really appreciated smile

well it's £220 based upon it being across 2 panels so you could well get chipsaway for slightly cheaper... i'd be tempted to leave it though as it's possible your inspector might well log it as 1 panel.

Yeah I'm caught in two minds between chips away & leaving it! It's just a risk as to whether they class it as repairable or if it needs replacing (which they say costs 'standard retailer cost')!

Chips away will need to do a perfect job with perfect colour match otherwise you'll end up with BCA saying it needs to be done properly. Been there, got the t shirt.

I would say getting charged £220 for that clusterfk of damage would be a bargain. No way a smart repairer is sorting all of that for £220.

Thanks for the suggestion both! Appreciate it.

Unfortunately I won't have time to get it done before Friday but I have managed to get Chips Away to look at it and they've quoted £400. So at least I've got a reference quote to 'discuss' with the inspector on Friday.

Will report back as to what they say!

I would say that its almost certain that you'll be worse off with chips away and you still have the risk of it not being good enough.

Well just to add my experience I had my black Skoda Octavia VRS 245 picked up yesterday by the BCA man.
2 year 10k/year lease extended by almost 3 months and had 19700 miles on clock.

.
Guy turned up and said would take 20mins...
Back story
I knew I had a few scrapes on the rear bumper and a small amount of keying above the fuel filler flap and one wheel above the 50mm, also I had a cracked rear light and front LED fog light.
I bought the rear light and Fog from TPS £343 with discount ! £191 for LED fog !! I changed the rear in 10mins but the fog according to the manual and youtube was pull out small grill and undo 2xT20 torx. Well that's for a 'normal' fog mine was remove whole front bumper to access so decided to leave it and see.
The guy rang BCA and they said provide the light and we will charge you £18 to fit so I thought result !
He told me he couldn't take the car with 0 miles showing on DIS even though I said I had put £5 of juice in so had to take him and put enough juice in to see 20-30 miles .

After nearly 2 hours of going over the car we went through it.
He pulled me on the bumper and keying which was fair enough £110 per panel.
Then he went on and said the stone chips (which where tiny) at the front I had been let off. He pointed out a small scuff on passenger door and the tiniest scratch on NSR door which I hadn't noticed so 2 x £110 there. I disputed these with him and said that they were small enough under the limits and he stated that it had 'slightly' broken the paint on rear door and front door was 3-4 small marks that added up to a scuff.

also rear wheel had a mark on which was 55mm...

so 2 wheels and 4 panels he marked it down on. I refused to sign and said I would take up the 2 doors with VWFS and I am just now awaiting the report to come through.
My impression. They want a showroom car back and I got picked up on every teeny tiny mark.

I bet the no fuel thing pissed him off so he went to town. I don’t blame him, you were taking the mickey a bit with 0 miles showing, all for the sake of a tenners worth of juice.

They most definitely don’t expect a showroom ready car back.

On the other hand, my inspection and collection done concurrently took 23 mins. Couldn't find anything wrong themselves with the car, it took me to point out the one thing wrong. Total cost in the end £36.

Probably could have got away with it, if I hadn't answered them honestly when they asked if there was any damage I knew about.

Zero complaints from me.

I thought it was end of May but it's end of March.. wobble

They're obv not going to jack the car up and have a look, seems to be all about the bodywork and cosmetic damage?

And then it'll be auctioned off at BCA? If anything, the next owner has got a free stainless exhaust out of it.. biglaugh

In all seriousness, am I screwed?

i don't really know actually... i know customising the car is against the terms of the lease so can only assume it is enforceable, but not sure as you say how far they will go to examine the vehicle or where during its later life it might get spotted, what the repercussions are etc. Did you not keep the standard part and can it not be swapped back? At least then you can eBay then upgraded one?

I agree, no fuel probably annoyed him, so he went for every detail.
