VWFS - attitude at end of lease?

i don't really know actually... i know customising the car is against the terms of the lease so can only assume it is enforceable, but not sure as you say how far they will go to examine the vehicle or where during its later life it might get spotted, what the repercussions are etc. Did you not keep the standard part and can it not be swapped back? At least then you can eBay then upgraded one?
Yes, the original parts are with the guys that fabricated the exhaust, will swap back if I can get it booked in with them in time.My Scirocco was collected last week, it was my the first time I’ve leased a car so was unsure what to expect from the BCA inspection and collection but it went well.
I received a £55 charge (which the BCA guy apologised for) for a scuff on the rear bumper that I was expecting but that was it. The car was in good condition though including all the alloys which were all mint.
Due to working from home that week it also had a quarter tank of fuel left too.

Remember you can informally extend with VWFS for up to 3 months at the same monthly cost and they also increase mileage allowance proportionally. Give them a call. So came back to my car to see this, any ideas of charges, this is my first lease, I have no idea who has done it, just wondering whether to repair it or not?
As you can see the wheel arch has been dented in, awaiting confirmation of a appointment to take the car to be looked at. I expect some of it can be polished out, which if its nice over the weekend may try, make it look a bit better than it is currently

that's 2 panels of damage. A scrape on each panel and 2 dents on one panel. Does it say in the damage guide whether they treat this as 3 instances of damage or 2? Just had mine collected. He graded it as a B. Two slight marks to the rear alloys but below the 5 cm on the circumference and that was the only thing he noticed. All signed and sent him away with half a tank of fuel, brand new Hankooks put in 200 miles ago and 10000 miles under that I paid for.
Was out there for 45 minutes. I was spying on him and he almost looked desperate to find something wrong with it. I actually pointed out the wheel damage to him before he started and I think he thought I was trying to hide something. Nothing wrong with it. Someone will get a very well looked after a4

My S3 is being inspected/ collected 25th March. Had a good look over the car and found 3 small dents on the drivers side rear door... Anyone know if there is a maximum amount of dents per panel allowed?
Also, I’ve just had an ‘inspection due’ message appear on the dash required within 30 days. The car will be gone with about 5 days remaining on this. Anyone know if this is absolutely necessary before the collection? Wouldn’t mind saving the £300 odd that Audi quoted! The car’s done 15k in 2 years.
Cheers!

The key here is the terminologyIf it specifically says Inspection Due then yes you do need to get it done now...
If it says Inspection Due in X days/ miles and you're still within this on the collection day then you're fine to ignore

Thanks! It’s definitely the latter, not ‘due’ til the end of March. Will the inspector say anything if this flags up on the dash during the checks? First lease car so excuse the questions! If it specifically says Inspection Due then yes you do need to get it done now...

If its a two year lease you are going to have to get at least one service done. I'm terminating my A4 lease three months early partly due to this issue - ie; it gets to the point where the cost to terminate is the same as if you kept it and paid for the unavoidable service and maybe two tyres.
I am currently on 15,500 miles after 21 months with the A4 and the 'service due' date is early May (over a month before the original hand back date). The final straw was the super cheap Arteon deals recently which finally swung it.

THIS - I've already handed a vehicle back to VWFS with 6 days remaining. Had it confirmed loads of times! :-)If it specifically says Inspection Due then yes you do need to get it done now...

I am coming towards the end of my 3 year lease which I will end a few months early due to getting a good deal on another car.
On problem I have is that I missed my second year service. My fault and should have got it done.
Should I do the service now before I give the car back or should I pay the fine when they do the inspection? does anyone know what the fine is?
