For info.
VWFS are no longer doing an initial inspection visit 2 weeks before collecting your car. They inspect and then take it away on the same day. Cause Covid.
It was like that 18 months ago when my last car went back. Before covidVWFS are no longer doing an initial inspection visit 2 weeks before collecting your car. They inspect and then take it away on the same day. Cause Covid.

Did you pay the higher bill then have the money refunded? Or did you just wait for them to offer a lower price and pay the reduced value?
Sorry for long delay coming back but to answer, I waited for the lower price before paying. They sent a couple of warning letters while it was being reviewed by them but I was told to ignore them until they came back with their decision. I think if I paid up front before their review then I wouldn't have received a discount. Funnily enough I received a couple of warning letters after I had made the lower payment but it was just an admin issue and the account was settled quickly on my credit report once I had paid.
Would use them again but I currently am enjoying a lovely used 9 year old S4 Avant, so no lease needed for the moment
I had my Leon cupra inspected today by BCA. Spent a good while inspecting it picking up on stone chips to bonnet and bumper, 3 scratches on different parts of the car and 2 alloys that were kerbed. Inspector said that the stone chips and scratches should fall within the fair wear and tear guide and there should be no charges. I asked if I needed to sign anything which he replied “no you will receive your report by email shortly”. An hour later i receive the report saying total charges are estimated to be £670! The report says the car condition is (A) which I presume is the best grading. I agree with the alloys which need a refurb but the rest is ridiculous. Where do I stand with this as it says on the report that the customer has signed when I haven’t and the signature box is blank. Thanks in advance.

What are the charges for? And why is it an estimate?FWIW said:
Just dispute it.
Have you cancelled your direct debit?
Yea I’ve cancelled direct Debit, just waiting for Volkswagen finance to send an invoice over. I’m definitely going to dispute the stone chips. This is a photo they took of the stone chips on the bonnet which you can hardly see, the lines are just where some detailer wasn’t buffed properly. Have you cancelled your direct debit?
Returned my Golf R Estate one month ago. Great condition so no charges. BCA collection was a smooth process.
Spotted the car pop up for sale at a main VW dealership at £31k a couple of weeks after that.
It’s somewhat confusing that when I logged into my VWFS account yesterday, that it says I have a missed payment and my account is in arrears by £28.5k, and this could affect my credit score of payment isn’t made.
Assume it’s an admin error at their end, tondo with the amount it sold to the dealer for. Emailed them straight away, no reply yet. Anyone had similar?

They sent me numerous threatening letters over £156.72 (one month's lease payment which VWFS always said I didn't owe whenever I rang them about it).
It was sorted out eventually, but it went as far as being passed to a collections company, so I'd advise you to question it rather than just assume it'll be sorted out without any intervention on your part.

Well my cupra got picked up at the end of a 2 year lease having only done 9k miles (should’ve been double that)
I had 2 stone chips and one of my alloys had about an inch worth of damage, they said it was covered within fair wear and tear.
I think if helped that it was red hot, he was desperate to get out of the sun and I offered him a bottle of water.
Good luck to anyone else returning, if it’s only one alloy or it’s not too bad personally I would just see what they say when you inspect it.

Does anyone have experience of what brands VWFS class as a 'premium' tyre please? Have asked VFWS but they, quite helpfully, can't tell me what they actually class as 'premium.'
My A5 goes back in a couple of weeks and I think the front tyres are going to be on the edge of being accepted, so was going to replace with some part worns.
