The Audi S4 and S6 lease deal and general discussion thread
Discussion
My current car (Merc PCP) goes back in December, and Stable have agreed to deliver my S4 then. However, like many others, it will be ready in early July.
The chances of me holding out for 5 months, knowing the S4 is sitting in a compound somewhere waiting for me, are very slim.
It defeats the whole point of this thread to bag a brilliant lease deal, save loads of money vs the equivalent PCP/cash purchase costs of ownership, only to waste most of that saving to pay to get rid of the current car early!
Ah well, you only live once.

When can you VT the merc?
Technically I could do it as soon as the S4 is ready, but the GFV was very high on the Merc (more than 50% of total payable in fact) so there is a fair shortfall which I'd need to cough up to reach the 50% mark. I have a feeling that the early settlement figure will be a good amount higher than achievable private sale figure too, based on my last check a few months ago. Doesn't help that a new model (A Class) is just about to be released.
If I do decide to seriously consider it I will call MBFS to explore my options. I wonder if the cheapest (in a relative sense!) route would be to just repay the remaining instalments early and then hand back, and if they offer an degree of discount for doing so several months early.
At this stage I am trying not to think about it in too much detail, and hoping that reason and common sense prevail.

Hi all, new here.
I got on this deal after lurking the lease deals thread for a few months, pretty excited!.
Anyway quick question as im new to this - My car is currently showing status 40 and 'arrived in Uk' on the tracker (has been since the 17th).
Is it worth chasing to see how early they can deliver, and is it better for me to chase the dealer or the lease company? (deal through central uk).
Thanks

Has anyone with a build week21 got their car tracker working yet? Mine still not showing. Cvl spoken to Audi and confirmed the order.
Same boat as you mate, build number doesn't work on website. No idea how most others are but ours are not! Rang Audi this week who said it is built this week and been shipped. Coming around July, but I won't pick up till around late August or September. projecthunder said:

How annoying! I give it until next week and will call Audi. I'm fairly new to the leasing thing as well.
Quite fancy an S4 next, but prices seem to have gone mad recently.
Are there always these seasonal fluctuations, or is the general trend upwards.
Ideally need to get a car lined up for January when my Golf R goes back.
When would be the best time to look at getting an order in ? (Had to wait over 3 months for the Golf)
