Looks good! What engine is in those?

Also what deal did you sign upto? Wondering how it compares to my S4 deal...
It’s the V8 twin turbo in the S6. This worked out 360 a month, 3500 initial. 23 months
Them S6s, dated as they might be, would be something I would have been busting a gut to get into after my S5 if they were still available. V8 is very much on the bucket list!

Finally a photo of someone's S6! Looks great! On the "dated" comments, I lease an A6 with the simpo nav... and I realise many people now use separate sat navs on their phones or otherwise .... but I cannot believe the number of 17/67/18 reg S6s (Saloon & Avant) I've been seeing on Autotrader which were built with the SD card nav!

I specced HD nav on my A1, which was a Nov 2010, and it was far superior to the A6's nav.

Look forward to S6 updates!

Yeah, the B9 vehicles and newer seem so much more up to date. Even the A3 infotainment is a bit dated now I think.

Some S4/S5 musings.
king against passenger seat can be resolved by moving the plastic clip/shroud on the seatbelt higher up so the buckle sits higher than the seat.
.
Thanks for this, it is driving me mad!

Random snap during first drive. Yep, many pieces hark back to solid state drives and manufacturer specific connectors (MMI plug anyone!) V8TT very strong though and cabin otherwise well finished and quality

Quality of the interior is high, as it should be for the theoretical price. Although the piano black inserts in the dash are a bit shiny, always loved quilted leather...

Hi all - had my S4 for nearly 3000 miles now and loving every minute.

Just found enough time to sift through the manual and find answers to some questions I have. However, does anyone know the answer to the following?

Every time I, or any passengers, try to connect to the car wi-fi (I've turned it on in the car settings), they put the password in... but then get transferred to a splash page (a bit like when you connect to public wi-fi).

It then asks me to register as the SIM owner and purchase a data plan. Even though the car already has one (all weather, news, connect etc works).

Could this possibly be due to the fact that the SIM that comes with the car doesn't allow tethering (or similar)?

Exactly. They give you Audi connect data but nothing else. You either need to put your own SIM in or pay the fees.

Fair enough. No point in that case! The passengers can suffer! biglaugh

Took delivery of my S4 on Tuesday, it's bloody brilliant!

It's really my first 'performance' car, previously had a Merc A180 with 120hp so quite a step up! The exhaust noise is better than I expected and it is plenty quick. The menus aren't exactly intuitive but now it's all setup to my liking it's not an issue.

I'm really pleased with the Navarra Blue, and also find that I do not regret forking out for the black styling pack and optional wheels at all.

A couple of pics:

Look at the lower vented sections. Does this S4 have the wrong bumper fitted?

Compared with this S4

Compared with this S4

One has ACC the other doesn't. The things in the vents are the cameras.

Collecting my S4 on the 23rd November from Audi Blackburn which I got from one of the bargain lease deals earlier this year. How is everyone finding their S4 so far?

I'm coming from one of the £107.99 Golf GTI deals of 2 years ago, so quite an upgrade. Starting to develop a knack for getting these deals!

I'm 7 months in now. Loving the compactness (versus my last car which was an S8!), very wieldy, lovely sound, never need more performance, quality interior, and pretty decent economy.

Downsides: steering is a bit dead (no surprise there), ride is unnecessarily harsh (air suspension would have been nice), MMI is designed for dextrous 12 year old Playstation experts, lacks goodies as standard (even my wife's Qashqai has memory seats, folding mirrors and a camera), and I hate, absolutely HATE, pre-sense.

I'm being a bit harsh actually. I really do like it.

Highjack: S6 update. 1500 miles. Engine v strong, nice noise, genuinely quick at 50+ in gear speeds. V refined (too much for my preference).
Handling precise, little feedback, a bit aloof if pressing on, but traction and grip still surprises given the bulk.
Overall a very good package, a bit bland, with perceived prestige.
