Hi all,

I have a problem with my MK4 POLO TDI 1.9 SPORT 100BHP. It doesn’t appear to be your typical limp mode problem.

Basically the car is losing power for 1 – 2 seconds every few days and the glow plug light (coil) lights up at the same time. After the 1 or 2 seconds power is restored and the light goes out. It does this in high and low gears at any revs. I thought it was a turbo (stick vane), solenoid or vaccum pipe leak issue but noticed today it did it at 1000rpm so assume the trubo is even being actuated then. Any ideas? I have read the tail light out can cause the coil light to come on put its also losing power.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Would like to fix it over the weekend.

Thanks,

Ash

To add:

No codes when plugged. But did show there were faults, just no live faults.

It was plugged into some £400 OBD scan handheld thing a family friend has. Previous faults said it was EGR,FUEL AND CCM
