Lupo wiper arm

Common problem, I understand - Lupo drivers side wiper isn't clearing a small section of the screen.
Can I replace the spring? Or do I need to find a decent used or new wiper arm?

can't imagine a new wiper arm is too pricey? be the easiest option rather than messing around surely

The gti and non gti have different wiper arms if I remember correctly
