Hi all,
Never posted before, so if I messed up on the etiquette, or posted in the wrong place, soz...

The electrical control unit on Skoda scout has failed - nearly catastrophic fire...
Electrician says source a 2nd hand one and he'll take a look at problems & causes.

Am I strictly limited to a replacement part with an identical part code (1K0937087Q) or will most do the job?
Other almost identical coded parts are significantly less expensive.

Yours cluelessly,
goggleswede.

If you don't get a decent answer on here then I suggest heading over to https://www.briskoda.net/ where you will find some very knowledgeable guys who seem to know part numbers inside out

Best of luck!
