As per title , I have viewed hours of Internet stuff about this but still can't get the belt back on without it being one tooth out . I line up crank marker , line up camshaft marker , belt is so tight that trying to get it on a couple of teeth on the crank then turning the engine with a socket it just jumps every time .

How do Audi Techs do this please? It seems very brutal and not very professional to squeeze the belt on this way and doesn't do the belt a lot of good . Then trying to lever the belt back of the cam pully every time will also do some damage to the belt .

Is there something I'm missing here ?

I tried taking idler pully off and putting it on after but belt too tight .

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance .

Don't these come with a spring-loaded tensioner? Pin comes out after belt is on.
