Is it just me or are most Aston owners a bit aloof when seeing other Aston’s on their travels.
Over the past three days I have been travelling around in my Vantage and have seen coming the other way several different Aston’s.
No friendly smile, no wave, no nod of the head, nothing.
Perhaps it’s just me.

proper owner / enthusiasts will always give you the massive grin and thumbs up, but these are expensive cars and are driven by what i call tourists, aston this year , lambo next year so there not as in love with it as we are.
unfortunately people who have achieved an amount of success sometimes start to believe that they are in some way superior and that waving to other people is below them, ive been snubbed a few times, the difference between these people and myself is that i actually know im a dhead.

In my now 4 months ownership, I haven't encountered any other owner while at the wheel of mine, so I would not know. They are pretty rare here in Milan I guess.
But, I had thumbs up, smiles and the quite classic "BELLISSIMA!" from a variety of others road users, like pedestrians of both sexes, motorcyclists, RS3 drivers, Porsche guys and then some.

Such a rare event up this far north (yes, proper north), that it's almost like meeting a long lost relative.
All AM owners I've passed have been more than willing to give a wave.
Drivers of other/classic/interesting cars also tend to wave in appreciation and I don't mind waving back.
When driving the old Landy, it's standard practice to give a 4 finger wave from the steering wheel to like-minded owners.

Always wave! An old biker thing - all bikers give their 'brothers' a friendly nod and this should be true for these rare beasts too! Shrug a snub.
I have only seen one other Rapide in 5 years where I live. Whilst I absolutely love that rarity we chatted at the traffic lights till they cycled back red! A smile for the next mile then All good
