Hi all

Anybody got an A4 on order and struggling to get a delivery date?

Ordered a 40tfsi Avant at the end of November and to date no delivery or build date confirmed, was told at the start it would be delivered mid March.

I chase regularly but all I get told is there is a delay at the factory means there is no information available?

Anybody in the same boat or have I just unlucky, this is not my first lease so can understand sometimes there are delays but usually I get at least an anticipated delivery......
Who did you order with?

Appreciate not deal related, but may be relevant to those who have ordered, or are considering Audi A4 lease deals.

Don't know if I'm now been messed about by Audi / the lease broker.

In my case, the A4 I ordered in December is in the UK, but I'm been told:

"the supplying dealership cannot register the car as a block has been placed on it. It is do with the CO2/WLTP data and at this time, we do not know when the block is going to be released and have no update from Audi as to when it may be resolved".

Will obviously raise with Audi, but does this sound feasible or BS?

Not been told this but was told my supplying dealer never actually had allocation to order a new build in Nov , and still currently has no allocation.

Affinity have found me another dealer who will begin build immediately but price has gone from £304 pm to £355 pm plus VED change to.

Pretty sure I’m going to have to leave this deal pretty soon.

Thanks for sharing. Not the same situation, but I suspect it may well be the same supplying dealer!

Will give them the benefit of the doubt until Audi confirm anything to the contrary.

Hope you get sorted one way or another.

I got a deal on the A4 Black Edition with Mettallic Paint, plus comfort and sound pack and also drivers assistance pack:

9+23 at £295 inc Vat per month. Booked via broker in January but not sure if I will be hit by the new VED?

Also does anyone know when the new model year for the A4 will be released this year? As my delivery date is specififed to be October this year for the vehicle as I have another lease going back in October. What i'm trying to gauge is , will I receive a Model Year 2021? Or Model Year 2020??

Hi I’m with Affinity as well.

Spoke to them today and they basically admitted to the above (for the first time after chasing)

The car will be built however it will be dependant on when the supplying dealer gets another allocation and nobody knows at the moment.

We can’t wait any longer than end of March so have asked about stock options but the prices will go up which is such a shame to possibly walk away from a good deal.

Anyone else changed their tyres yet? Had my Avant back in April. Done 8k miles so far and my tyres are on their last legs. Looking at the size, looks like it’s going to cost me a small fortune for all 4 corners.

8k??? How hard do you drive?

We got 25k out of the fronts on our A4 Avant and now we’re at 35k the rears still have loads left on them.

Well I’ve been offered 2 options by affinity ( 3 if I cancel the order)

Option 1 is they have found a build slot but will be June delivery, increase in monthly payments plus additional VED of £15 pm over the 24 months, total monthly £350. Was previously £304. Obviously initial 3 months deposit increases inline too.

Option 2 take the saloon version which I can have in 14 days, same spec and monthlies would be the same £304 as the original Avant I placed the order on, so although the monthlies stay the same they have actually increased as the saloon originally was around £270 pm

I’m tempted to go 6 series gt at £360pm or 520d a 279 pm now.

Only other option is buying a 6 gt ex demo for around 27k on a 19 plate.

Just feel I’ve been done over by Audi.

Well, I don't hang about but not too bad biggrin They've got Continentals on at the moment and to be fair they're ste. 245/35/R19 which I've discovered is somewhat an odd size and is going to cost me a small fortune to replace!

I feel your pain my Volvo takes 245/35/21 and needs special noise cancelling tyres at £300 per corner. However I do get about 30k out of a set.

Thanks for this, I’ve asked a question about other options and they are going to come back to me with some prices however as you state I expect them to be higher.

If we cancel do we get our document fee back, I can’t seem to get an answer on this question from them yet?

Sent you a PM regarding an in stock A4 Avant deal I posted on leading thread a couple of days ago, in case it's of any use.

So I have spoken with Audi this morning about my A4 Avant and its looking like the factory still haven't accepted the order!

I have also requested a 12 month quote for my current A4 but that takes upto 7 days!

Anyone else still stuck waiting for a build week and had their vehicle on order for quite some time?

Via affinity mate your not going to get a build slot for some considerable time, then quoting 14 week build time from you confirmation of build slot.

Audi really have messed this up big time.

Ordered mine back in November after posting the one of the original affinity deals

£254pm + 6 months, 5k miles
Went for the 40 Saloon Black Edition w/ Comfort and Sound pack & metallic paint.

Somehow worked out cheaper to do 5k and pay the excess mileage than commit to more miles in the agreement.

Delivery confirmed a week or so ago for March 3rd, so if anyone is waiting and wants pics or has any questions, please let me know!

Thanks, it’s a good deal but personally I really don’t think I can live with the “30” spec engine!

Going to keep pushing Affinity to see where this car may be, got 3 weeks to get something sorted.

Anyone else had issue closing the bonnet and it not latching on one side ? Is there a knack to shutting it ? I opened bonnet for first time yesterday, spent about an hr trying to close it, it has two latches one either side and the one on the passenger side would latch the one on drive wouldn't , when it did this it right pita trying to reopen to try again, I got it shut in the end and booked it in to Audi.
