I'm reviewing my options of getting out of my lease early, 1 year into a 3 year deal. It's a 2l diesel supplied by Audi Birmingham. 295 per month 10k per annum, just had its first service yesterday so if anyone wants to consider taking it over let me know.
It’s going to cost about £3500 to early termination. Odd that it’s needed a service after a year. Audi lease cars are usually on long life service schedules
Was it set up for annual servicing? When I bought my current car I asked that it was set up on variable, they set to annual anyway. After a couple of weeks I spoke to the garage to tell them once again how they can’t follow simple instructions and they told me to reset the oil service count down when it’s due and then get it serviced at 18,000 miles.

Given the way used car prices are going I would be looking into Preferential Termination where a dealer will buy the car from VWFS, I think you need to take another VW group car though.

Appreciate the replies, the reason I was looking at getting out of the A4 lease is because I was interested in a AUC car from an Audi dealer. Some man maths and a chat with the wife we have agreed it's best we go back to having 2 cars again after 3 years of sharing a car. So I think it'll end up staying now

In reference to its service, I did ask for it to be put onto the long life service schedule, and assumed it had been done.. Evidently I should have checked with them again. I'll have a word next time i'm in.

I just rang ALD the automatically offer a 90 day extension works out about £290 a month but I can cancel it at any point in the 90 days.

I also asked about returning the car early and there’s be no additional charge.

Does anyone know if the 19s on the black edition are diamond cut alloys?

They said they’d be £90 a wheel or £55 for standard which I though was reasonable. Managed to get the prices in an an email aswell just in case there’s a dispute when I return the car.

Hopefully this is helpful they ALD were really good over the phone

I returned my A4 early.

There is definitely a charge to return it, it’s 50% of the remaining payments. They were pretty quick to pick it up, only need a weeks notice.

They were very fair with damage, and charged me for regular alloys rather than diamond cut on the black edition (£50 a pop) so not worth getting them sorted yourself.

There’s no charge for me I have that in writing.

Great news on the alloys did you have any other damage? Are you will ALD?

How long is left on your contract? Mine was due back December, so was charged 460. No other damage, car was spotless. Yes with ALD.

Couldn’t see anything else I wanted on lease, so some man maths made it a good time to buy an M2 Comp whistle

Mines also December but I think I'm going to hold onto it until the New Year.

Nice I do quite fancy a F80 M3 but the prices of used cars are nuts atm. Golf R a £290 35 + 9 is also tempting

I'm pondering the JCW Countryman as a replacement for my current A4 Avant.

Only issue is I'm not convinced the 450 litre boot will suffice for family duties. Although the A4 is only 495 so not a massive deal bigger. Has anyone tried one or owned one before?

The deal is:

£2,584 initial
£287 per month
36 month deal
5k miles PA
£240 admin fee

From Gateway 2 Lease.

Estimated delivery December/January which would work for me as my current lease ends in December.

Depends on your contract. Read it.

Or hand the car back a few weeks early and avoid the service.
