I'm after a late Mk2 which has possibly been modded for track use - (or otherwise totally standard). Any ideas as to the best place to search - I don't want body kits/turbos etc but more along the lines of roll cage, bigger brakes etc?

cheers,
AASC

I have a Golf Mk2 16v Oak Green H reg that I have sorted for track days. It has had all the bushes replaced, Eibach roll bars, Ferrodo DS2500 pads, extra Oil cooler etc, etc, etc. Very good car I have spend thousands on sorting it out if you are interested I want about 2800.00. It is a tidy example and used every day but has everything thats makes a Porsche eater round the track. If your are interested my e-mail is daren.scholes@lineone.net. Cheers.

Ask on club gti forum & also regually scan the classieds on there, to look v regually as well priced & decent cars dont hang around long.

I know of an excellent road/track spec Mk2 at the mo, 2L 200bhp & all the right bits etc etc & has the legs on mine, tho I think its a tad pricy, tho to build to that spec would of course as ever with thses things cost a lot lot more.

Oh just spotted a Vr6 Mk2 in the PH classifieds too, tho, I do think 16v is better for track abuse, tho a well set up Vr6 is very nippy.
