If the side airbag deploys the cable will go with it, effectively ripping the cam from the mount and becoming a small hard projectile, as well as ripping the rest of the cable and headlining out.... Or possibly restricting the deployment.

If anything like my A6, shouldn't be too hard to route the cable under the airbag, there was some room.
Yup, have taken the higher part to go over them at the moment due to those reason. Will check about routing under airbags when I get more time on it

Do the door handle lights display the audi 4 rings on the floor? I love this feature!!
Just a flashlight sort of thing, no projections from it

The projector lights come from the underside of the door not the door handles. Can’t remember seeing these listed on the configurator though. Not to worry though, I still have the ones out my last S3 lol.

This was estimated build week for me, do we think we will get an update from RGW today then??

Same for me but no update yet! May chase them for an update on Friday if nothing comes through.

My build week was last week and was told I would hear 30th onwards so don't think you will have an update this week

UPDATE: Just had Finance Docs through today

Just had confirmation from RGW that mine has been built and is now awaiting shipment. Advised they will be in touch next week to confirm if it has been shipped. Pleased things are finally moving!

Let's hope these new restrictions don't further delay everyone's deliveries!

Hadn’t even given that a thought, I’m north of the border so no lockdown yet! Might be looking at a 21 plate at this rate. However delays could have further implications after reading this yesterday.

That sounds like a big FU from them basically

Well I hope RGW doesn’t try and pull these manoeuvres after how they’ve handled it already .. will be the final nail in the coffin

I've got Build week 4 next year so that will be the final nail in the coffin for me I'm sure after months of delays anyway, fingers crossed that' doesn't happen!

You'll all be fine. Have you seen what's closed? Bars and restaurants and gyms... Everything else open! Gov giving lip service to keep Xmas open!

When did you get this?

From rgw? I'm still waiting for an email, and am hoping for November/December delivery.

Can't wait till next year.

I ordered through Audi Derby directly July 29th, a couple of weeks after most of the RGW deals which seems to have set me back like 2 months. If you ordered after that i wouldn't hold out much hope for this year!

Had my £360 invoice confirmed on 10th July as being paid. Hoping for an update today this week. Not sure if november is looking realistic now. Fingers crossed for December

Any idea of expected timescales if build week was last week? How long do they take to build and ship?

From what others have said on lease threads etc it's around a month from build date. My car was built during w/c 19th October and I was sent paperwork on Friday 30th - advised once the new paperwork is approved it will be 1-2 weeks for delivery. They key question would be how long the final paperwork takes for approval - I cant imagine it being more than a few days. So yeah, roughly a month from built date sounds about right

I had a reply to an email I sent over the weekend asking for an update. RGW advised updates are due to be sent out towards the end of this week.
