I've just had an update from RGW and my car still hasn't been given a build date. I ordered at the very beginning of July. They have now pushed the delivery estimate into October but I am increasingly losing confidence.

This is the third car I've had on order since January. A Volvo that couldn't be fulfilled, an A4 Avant BE that was cancelled due to the TFSI recall/hold and this A5 Sportback has now already slipped a month and I'm expecting it to slip further. A standard 12 week build would actually take us into November. Nightmare...

Looks real good, thanks for your thoughts on the facelift, good to hear about the stereo being pretty good and good point about the touchscreen, how does it look inside now with the new glossy black trim and touchwheel gone, does it still look classy, I was concerned about the glossy bits as I prefer matt plastic but maybe it looks more modern
Glossy trim is a fingerprint magnet (of you get your paws on it, but reality is you don't need to touch it that much. Looks very classy. I wasn't a fan. Til now. The Matt plastics look amazing, but not as wow as the black plastic.

My only niggle is the dash dials screen is angled down. So it is out at the top and in at the bottom. Weird. About 10 degrees. Not straight down flat. Anyway, if that's it, I can lice with that!

The rear window tints make the car darker from the inside - but like classy expensive sunglasses you can't see in easily but you look out clearly. Like posh sunglasses, it's not as dim looking out!

I'd of loved an S-Line Coupe (coming from an A3 Black Edition) but at £230 23x6 I ended up going for the 'Sport' Sportback 35TDI instead. I feel the gap is closer between the two spec wise on the facelift than previous. I didn't love the standard wheels so I paid the £150 for the alternate 18's (which happen to be the standard alloys on the pre-facelift S-Line). Expecting delivery November/Dec. Gone for standard white and atlas beige interior. Cant wait!

Can I ask who this was with and for what mileage? In some respects, I might have opted for a Sport over the S Line (a little worried the suspension might be a bit on the firm side).

It was an Audi Loyalty rate through Claris Vehicle Solutions, 8k miles, I ordered about two weeks ago, seems the price has gone up though now - or they've removed the loyalty discount as there's no mention of it now:

Im also in the market for an Audi A5, but im struggling to find any decent deals, if i saw the 3+23 @ 299 i would have placed an ordered instantly. I'm in need of a stock order (i need the car to be delivered by Mid October latest) anyone got any recommendations?

If for whatever reason the orders get cancelled by the lease company are the admin fees refunded?

I hear what you are saying, ordered very similar time to you and still no build slot either, waiting until November for the next car would be a nightmare thats for sure.

I think I'm one of the lucky ones who has managed to secure Audi A5. I got told it was a 8-9 weeks delivery upon order but the car was stuck at a port. They have since arrived and was told few weeks back if I wanted the car sooner. I have requested the car to be registered for the 70 plate and delivery 1st sept :-))

The car was secured by leasing company from Leeds Audi - maybe worth contacting them directly to see any availability and cut out broker fees.

What was your deal? And do I contact Leeds Audi? Do you have a contact name?

Purchased via contractcars the deal is no longer available plus it was advertised for key workers. The price I paid was very similar to the popular RGW deal (no pre requisite) open for all. Probably worked out couple of hundred quid cheaper than RGW.

A5 sline/ Black Mythos
Monthly £278 (23+6)

Broker fee £600.

The car is sourced from Leeds Audi - you'd probably need to contact the fleet sales department directly and see if they entertain you.

What date did you order BG79 and rootcoors? I got that update on the 7th of August and I ordered July 7th. I'm getting a little nervous this may slip into November.

Ordered on the 7th July too, then a few weeks back never got an update when everybody else did and now a week later?

Yeah I am not sure when I think it will arrive, been car less for 2 months now and still no sign of getting back to office. So not too worried about it slipping a little, but at same time I am missing having my own transport especially now the wife is back to work.

The last update I had yesterday, RGW stated that they had been advised that October delivery is achievable."

So as it stands thats all I have to go on, so fingers crossed it stays October and doesn't slip to November.

I ordered on the 6th but it was close to 5pm, so we might as well call it the 7th also.

Got my order in on the 10th of July. Last update I had was on the 6th of August with no build slot / October delivery still. No update for me yesterday, feeling even less confident that I’ll see mine this side of November now!

You should have been advised there is an UP TO 20 week lead time on orders from the date of order with Audi.

This is not the date you placed it with your broker but the date Audi received the order.

Whatever date you placed the order with your broker, add on three weeks. Two weeks of that is the legal cooling off period. The third week to take into account five days of admin faffing between the broker and funder and dealer shuffling digital paperwork.

Audi HQ have been advising dealers of up to 20 week delay since May. However, anytime in that 20 weeks you will get a build week slot. From that week it will be at the dealer in four weeks.
