Guys standard ambient lighting im i right you can't see it during the day thank you
Any luck last night? Might only come on with headlights on
Not tried it yet at night but I rang dealers who advised comes on according to night conditions as I couldn't see it during the day

If guys who have already had there cars can advise plz thank you
So standard ambient lighting will get you the lighted up Cup holders, a little strip under meaty the centre console, another small strip on the doors just under the locks (not to be confused with the extended which gives you a light strip above the door handle) and footwells.

Standards are a bright white and cannot be changed.

In my opinion I think the best lighting is when it runs across the dashboard and doors. For the A5 they are just bits of light stripped stuck and makes it seem tacky.
Any pics mate? Sounds like your missing out thats all as spec sheet mentions footwell lighting. Here is spec sheet in regards to ambient lighting off audi website:

LED Interior Lighting Pack
Front and rear reading lights – capacitive reading lights in front
Reflected lighting on centre console
Glove compartment light
Passive door warning lights
Luggage compartment light
Vanity mirror, illuminated
Exterior courtesy lighting in the exterior door handles
Illuminated cup holders in the front
Footwell lighting
Interior door handles
Ambient door lighting
Ambient lighting for centre console in the front

Bit of good news re my A5 yesterday- registration and delivery confirmed for 18th Jan. My email also contained the below paragraph, a nice £400 price drop which brings my amortised monthly to £301.58 per month over 2 years 10000 miles per year. Really can’t complain at that price (standard white 35tdi s line)

“The Initial rental of £3150.00 inc VAT has reduced to £2759.95 inc VAT (Due to the Road Fund Licence reduction on the new RD2 Engines)
This will be taken by Direct Debit after delivery by Volkswagen Financial Services UK Ltd (7-10 Days approximately)
As discussed we will transfer £750.00 inc VAT into your account after delivery and before your Initial Rental goes out to the Finance Company.”

This is great news, I've still got mine to be built in a couple of weeks so would be very happy if this was applied, will email my dealer and check. Is yours 35TDI?

Yes it is. On one of the emergency services deals that were kicking about.

Looking at buying an A5 sportback.

Best I've found so far was for a A5 40TDI Edition 1 Sportback, glacier white, C&S pack for £595 per month x 48 months, £595 deposit. (1+47).

Does this sound okay? The Edition 1 added about £40 over the S-Line and I did like the visual differences.

I've come from about 10 Mercedes in a row after working for a company associated to an automotive brand, so used to C43s, GLC43's and more recently, a GLC300e coupe.

Any help much appreciated before I push the button!

Thanks.

Is this Lease or PCP?

That's pretty horrendous compared to what most of us are paying here.

As an example the majority of people have got 35 TDI Sportback S Line on 10k miles 3+23 at £299 a month. These deals have now all gone though and have shot up in price.

Lease.

Part of the reason for the higher price will be the fact it’s the 40, think that was about £40-50 a month more, Edition 1, £40 a month more. 15k miles also added to the cost.

Obviously won’t reach the deals that were available before, but happy for pointers!

Is the 40TDi worth the £40-50 a month more? As mentioned, quite used to C43 type pace but I rarely ever blast it, just want something enough to be pokey and feel it isn’t blowing to get there.

Let me know how you get on! I guess they can’t try and pocket the savings as a dealer as it’s direct from Audi within the finance set up ??

Anyone knows how to get rid of the MMI welcome screen with your name on it every time you start the car. Just want it to go into the home screen instead of showing your full name!

I received my financial documents through yesterday and I've had the discount applied as well for my 35tdi.

I'm getting mines delivered on 1st February.

Can not wait to get back into a nice car after my needs must mat leave Leon.

Great news! Did this just come off your initial rental? I know it's been a long wait about the only thing I've got to look forward to at the moment!

No mate. Initial was the same price as the previous monthlys.

Save roughly £19 which covers the new Insurance price.

So my dealer has advised me this does not apply to my quote, typical!

Anyone else here with RGW questioning that £390 that we paid to them as part of the “initial rental” again now...?

Mine is direct through an Audi dealer, that might be the difference?
