Thanks for sharing.

So you just chose service date and requested price match and sent in attached quote for comparison? And they agreed over email?
Email the the dealer and ask for an Audi Price match.

Send in the quote and they should accept it (unless they are very funny and particular)

Alternatively you can go inside a dealership and take the quote inside.

Hello,

We have waiting appointments available from the 25th of October onwards.

Unfortunately, Audi no longer offer the price match guarantee.

We do however offer a service plan.

This is available as a one-off payment of £539.77 or 24 monthly payments of £22.49 and covers the following:

1 x oil and inspection service with pollen filter

1 x oil change service.

If this is of interest to you, please follow the link below where you can find out further information and take out the service plan if you wish to do so.

If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Email them back and show the price promise above on the Audi Website.

Also

Email

executive.office@audi.co.uk

Tell them how it’s shambles and false advertising and they should remove it from the website or face the Advertising Standards Authority

Nope looks like they standing their ground.

Hello,

Thank you for coming back to me.

I have double checked, and Jardine Motors do not offer a price match.

Other Audi Groups may offer this, but Jardine Motors opted out earlier in the year as they believe the prices that we offer are competitive.

If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

That’s a blatant lie as I got it from a Jardine dealer from a advisor using a Jardinemotors email

Lol so they did the service but refused to reset inspection warning because I didn’t take brake fluid. (Scam).

Go to settings and this is what it states.

God knows what they’ve done.

Going to have to do an OBD 11 job

Same situation here. What are you doing regarding brake fluid change? Independent VW specialist near me will do it for £65. Halfords is £39.

Does brake fluid need to be recorded on the system to satisfy VWFS?

Hi,

Not doing the brake fluid they can stuff it.

The car will be handed back before its 3 years old.

Inspection light now reset.

Ever since the last year or two, all VW Group cars required it 3 years then every 2 years (probably to satisfy companies). So I don’t know what’s changed.

It’s a clear money grab.

And no there’s no way for them to check it unless they ring the dealer who serviced the vehicle which I don’t think they ever do. They just want to see the Audi service print out that you’ve done the main service and they’re happy. (From history).

If they do question it (doubtful) I’m more than happy to provide them with an invoice at a later date.

Also remember earlier I contacted VWFS by email, they stated a service only had to be done at a VAT Reg garage using genuine parts, so we didn’t have to go Audi for anything.

You’ll read a lot of BS online about brake fluid boiling point changing etc but a lot of manufacturers require it every 5 years! I’ve never done mine earlier then 3-4 years and I’ve had cars last 260,000 miles! What does that tell you? Save your money mate!

How’d you go about resetting the service light? Popped by the dealership today to ask them to do it, refused based on the fac that “brake fluid is part of the inspection”.

Got it booked in with them to the tune of £70… Not best pleased, as I agree with you the 2 year thing is clearly a money grab.

Also need to have some warranty work done on the MMI as my navigation has stopped working, just gets stuck on initialising, and CarPlay is having intermittent issues.

They say they’ll likely need the car for 2 days to completely wipe off the software and load it from fresh. Lovely.

Nice, don’t know anyone with one so looks like getting shafted by the stealer is my only option at this point.

I’d invest in one but my next car won’t be a VAG car and not compatible so not much point!

Next Tuesday ends my run with the A5. My new vehicle, a Kia EV6, is being prepped for collection on Saturday.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time with the A5, did me proud on multiple trips throughout Europe, effortlessly munching away the motorway miles.

If it wasn’t a lease, I’d be in no rush to change. Although the boss has said we need something a bit more “family friendly”, so it would be inevitable at some point.

I’m excited for new car day, but I can’t say that a little bit of me won’t miss the A5. My first German car, hands down the best car I’ve ever leased. Likely the last for a long time. Onwards into the strange new world of EV ownership!
