VW Touareg Lease Deal
Discussion
Had mine since Nov 2020, on 15.5K miles at the mo and recently topped up the oil as noticed it was showing as near minimum, though no warning light etc requesting it. Topping up every few thousand miles doesn't seem right to me, though did experience that in the MK7 Golf R I had a few years ago.
I’ve had a Black Edition 286bhp on order for a few months but hadn’t driven one.
Managed a 20 min test drive today and was really impressed. Didn’t feel particularly quick but it only had 25 miles on the clock and I was taking it easy with the salesman in the back.
Made me think it might have been the 231 bhp model but the salesman couldn’t confirm and I forgot to take a note of the reg.
Overall much preferred it to my current A6 Avant and am now counting the days until it is here!

Anyone had any updates on delivery times for Touaregs?
Ordered mine in May for estimated 1st Sept, currently being told Feb/Mar 22.
Ordered mine in June originally for November. Then told new year and today told build week 14 (April) for May delivery so looks like if I’m prepared to wait that long it will be a year!Ordered mine in May for estimated 1st Sept, currently being told Feb/Mar 22.

I think I ordered mine slightly after you, as of last Friday it was showing as end of Feb delivery to dealer. Fearing the worst now.Edited by Soton Thunder on Thursday 25th November 01:21
TBH I am starting to feel like I don't want the car for a 3 year term seeing as it's likely going to turn up 6 months+ late. Are there any plans for VW to facelift/replace the Touareg in the next couple of years? It's very frustrating, my last lease went back a month ago now so making do with my Defender and my son's Fiesta. Feel like I want to buy something...

...and back another 4 weeks. I don't think VW have a clue when they'll build these vehicles.
Same thing happened last year when my partner had a T Roc R on order. Dealer/Lease Company couldn't give a confirmed build date so we cancelled order. I'd signed up for progress notifications and 2 weeks later got a message it had arrived in UK!Just a follow up to my previous post about oil consumption, the Treg went into JCT600 VW Sheffield on 5th Nov where no fault could be diagnosed as to why it was drinking oil like me drinking Corona on a Friday night.
Anyway, they topped it up to max. from the low warning level like the kind people they are and didn’t bother to charge me for the pleasure which they made plenty of noise about.
I drove away at 5925 miles and today at 6696 miles the oil level is yet again showing as low. Now I’m no mechanic or engineer, but something isn’t right. I don’t drive this car like I did my Golf R or the 435d we had at the same time, and neither of them asked for more oil. Ever.
So a call will be made back to JCT600 on Monday quickly followed by a social media post to both them and VW UK in order to get someone’s attention as it seems to be the only way to get traction these days.
Would love to receive any additional advice or guidance on this issue and how to deal with the deniers and what do next.
Over to you guys!

I am looking at placing an order for one as ours goes back Sept 2022 (we can extend for 6 months too if need be.
Really like them and given we are downgrading the other car to a runaround, I still want a roomy SUV.
Sounds like any date you are given for delivery you need to add 6 months too!
