I am really hacked off, having ordered in early July (standard spec BE) I was told October, November, December and then March delivery. It has now slipped to end of September which is just madness. I am now trying to see if I can claw the admin fee back but no idea where I'll go from here. My wife is currently using my son's Fiesta since the A35 went back in October, and buying anything decent is really dear currently. Ahhhh.
That’s nuts. I ordered last June and was told March. I don’t need it until August but thought I was ordering well ahead of the game. Seems not.

My employer has since launched a salary sacrifice EV scheme so I’ve cancelled the Touareg and gone for an i4 M50 instead.

Long wait ahead for that ahead as well.

Wonder when anyone last had a Touareg delivered?
I’ll be gutted if my 4 times delayed order gets delayed again.
Find out next week.

There are some cancelled ones about - 6 are dropping into stock for delivery end of this month via Fleet Prices. No idea on pricing though imagine the deal would be terrible!

Spoken to the broker who is refusing to refund admin fee. Feel like they roped me in with a good offer knowing full well they couldn't deliver the vehicle anywhere near time scales I was told. Very poor form....

Now searching elsewhere, have found the TSI at £691 on a 1 + 35 at 8k P.A for the Black Edition in grey, ideally don't want petrol and it's not maintained like my previous deal. Have pinged fleet prices an email to see if they have any of those cancelled orders available.

That’s a fight worth having to get the refund back.
I was told Sept/ October, it will end up being March at best.
Time for a complaint, that’s what £250/300 that they don’t deserve.
A few weeks here or there but this is more than half a year.

1+35 on 10k pa is £740 a month.
With nothing specced.
Think I was on about £570 before I added towbar and heated rear children.
And I’m not sure about pros/cons of a petrol v diesel in this case.

I’ve just placed an order for a Touareg BE with Lookers - standard apart from metallic- 40 weeks lead in but we’ll see what happens- I can always extend on the 8 series from September if needed or just hand back and use my sons fiesta as a stop gap - anyway like I say we’ll see what happens

Lease - 9 plus 35 @ 10k £538 pm inc met paint
Looking at my leasing.com history of quotes the same car was available £100 plus less per month - however in today’s market it’s an ok deal - the days of mega lease deals are gone for the time being:-(

Saw one of these BE's last week in Chelsea parked up - looked fantastic. Bit of an 'under the radar' car which makes it more attractive IIMHO.

My BE which was due to be built 17/1/22 has gone awfully quiet.
In all fairness to the dealer/ via lease co, all the previous delays were always a few weeks before the build week, and a new BW was given.
This time the update was very vague.
No idea if it’s built or not.
Just a “there are delays on some models due shortages”

Wow who knew?

So I got an update this morning. The car I have on order is part of a small batch ordered by Listers VW on March 21. Delivery is now showing as September but I think end of year is likely. Apparently there are not even an Touaregs being built at the moment......

Hi Simon,

I’m hoping September is more than possible.. but at the moment, the factory just wont commit to building any Touaregs for some reason, and just keep pushing them out.

I will be advising over the next couple of weeks what the updates are 😊

Considering the car I tagged to you was ordered in March 2021.. I would hope it has some chance of getting here this year 😉 The factory are all so helpful…

Happy Friday..

Yikes. Think I am going to start looking to buy something to run for a few months. Maybe an L405 RR if I am brave enough. Whole situation is a mess, never thought I'd be waiting 14 months at a minimum to get the Touareg...

mpg update. Just returned from a 75 mile round trip, 4 up, mostly countryside A roads and not hanging around either.

39.5mpg average which is very good for a 286bhp V6 diesel 4x4.
