VW Touareg Lease Deal

Good evening all,
I’ve had my Black Edition in white since early June and must say I’m made up with it so far! Comfortable, space to spare, pace when I want it and a relatively rare sight - so I wish I could say there are no problems. But there IS one problem….oil consumption. I’m at 5.5k miles and it’s asking for oil for the third time. I had a VW tech out to it only a few weeks ago and he said it was totally normal, but something doesn’t quite sit right. Our previous 435d never once asked for oil outside of serving over 4 years, and while I appreciate these are different marques/engines, surely VW haven’t engineered this block to want oil every 1-1.5k miles regardless of how it’s driven??
I’m keen to hear if anyone else has had the same issue? It’s back with VW on Friday for a round of checks and apparently I have to ask them to weigh the oil to measure the carbon content(?)
Look forward to any reply’s and also if anyone can advise if this post is better suited in another section please let me know.
Cheers all,
Had ours since Sept 2020 and 6k miles so far. No top up needed so far. I’ve had my Black Edition in white since early June and must say I’m made up with it so far! Cheers all,
I am looking at placing an order for one as ours goes back Sept 2022 (we can extend for 6 months too if need be.
Really like them and given we are downgrading the other car to a runaround, I still want a roomy SUV.
Sounds like any date you are given for delivery you need to add 6 months too!

For those who have ordered a Toerag fairly recently what kind of deal did you get? (PCP or lease)
Lease ordered in early July - 3 x 35, fully maintained, 8k miles, £603 p/m. Black Edition with only option black paint. Whether it actually ever turns up....;)Soton Thunder said:
Sadly I've had to cancel my Touareg Black edition ordered in June due to the delays and uncertainties on eventual build and delivery dates. Added to that the continuing lack of international travel has impacted my income meaning the Touareg may have been too much of a stretch.
Managed instead to get an in stock Arteon R-Line lease (last one) from a VW dealer. Had one before so although it's not the Touareg I know it will be a nice place to spend the next 3 years at a considerably lower price.
Good luck to those still waiting on Touaregs!
I have been told Sept 2022 but who knows. I actually asked Listers to keep an eye out for cancelled Arteons or Tiguan R Lines just incase. Hi all,
Just found this thread!
Ordered 10/6/21 and supposed to be getting built next week (17/1/22).
Order was with Leap Leasing.
Hopefully no more delays now, it’s been knocked back a few times, but never got this close to actual build date.
Probably (all being well) be here for March.
Anybody else got a similar Bw?
It was a BE. 286bhp. Added tow bar and heated rear bums.
Cheers

I’ve held on this long as there’s nothing even close to as good a deal, but 14 months is a bit much.
I think I will be lucky to see it in 2022 to be honest.

It’s a Toureg R with every option except night view. However by the time it comes the model will be quite old. I’ve held on this long as there’s nothing even close to as good a deal, but 14 months is a bit much.
If it was a full new model I would consider not taking mine but a refresh doesn't bother me. I think these cars are underrated and with the more powerful diesel engine there a great all rounder.
Plus, cancelling and then starting again with another car is probably going to just take longer given most cars are a 9 to 12 month wait now minimum.

Wonder when anyone last had a Touareg delivered?
I’ll be gutted if my 4 times delayed order gets delayed again.
Find out next week.
There are some cancelled ones about - 6 are dropping into stock for delivery end of this month via Fleet Prices. No idea on pricing though imagine the deal would be terrible!I’ll be gutted if my 4 times delayed order gets delayed again.

I am really hacked off, having ordered in early July (standard spec BE) I was told October, November, December and then March delivery. It has now slipped to end of September which is just madness. I am now trying to see if I can claw the admin fee back but no idea where I'll go from here. My wife is currently using my son's Fiesta since the A35 went back in October, and buying anything decent is really dear currently. Ahhhh.
Spoken to the broker who is refusing to refund admin fee. Feel like they roped me in with a good offer knowing full well they couldn't deliver the vehicle anywhere near time scales I was told. Very poor form....Now searching elsewhere, have found the TSI at £691 on a 1 + 35 at 8k P.A for the Black Edition in grey, ideally don't want petrol and it's not maintained like my previous deal. Have pinged fleet prices an email to see if they have any of those cancelled orders available.

I’ve just placed an order for a Touareg BE with Lookers - standard apart from metallic- 40 weeks lead in but we’ll see what happens- I can always extend on the 8 series from September if needed or just hand back and use my sons fiesta as a stop gap - anyway like I say we’ll see what happens
Lease or PCP? Decent deal? Benito88 said:

Can you DM me the contact at Lookers please? So I got an update this morning. The car I have on order is part of a small batch ordered by Listers VW on March 21. Delivery is now showing as September but I think end of year is likely. Apparently there are not even an Touaregs being built at the moment......
Hi Simon,
I’m hoping September is more than possible.. but at the moment, the factory just wont commit to building any Touaregs for some reason, and just keep pushing them out.
I will be advising over the next couple of weeks what the updates are 😊
Considering the car I tagged to you was ordered in March 2021.. I would hope it has some chance of getting here this year 😉 The factory are all so helpful…
Happy Friday..

Has anyone seen any in stock TSI Black Editions? I saw spotted a few a couple of weeks ago but wasn't keen, now decided I'd be happy with that over my diesel order. Got an option on a Q7 55 tfsi black edition if not,
Fleetprices had them a few weeks ago but all gone. MPG is pretty shocking in them just as an FYI Pookie123 said:
So my Touareg BE is up in July, 2 years has gone quick! Has anyone tried to extend their lease offer by a year or two? I’m currently paying £450pm on 8k a year.
You can extend informally for 3 month or 6 months (can be done online I believe) or request quotes for 12 months or above on a formal extension. I would start requesting quotes now as you are within 6 months from the end and continue to request a quote every 30 days. The VWFS lease extensions are controlled by what I call the random number generator. Remember the kids tv show Bertha? That's how I visualise it!
There often seems no logic behind them.
My S5 was £412 a month. My first two quotes were over £1,000. Then I had around £600, then back up over £1,000 then £374 a month which I took. All quotes were on the same terms, another 12 months with another 10k miles. Mental.
If you have another VWFS car on order you can supply your order number and extend informally on current terms until your new one arrives apparently.
Another cheeky way to drag some extra time out of a lease is to book collection and then cancel, rebook cancel etc. You will be charged same monthlies but could drag out a few more months doing this given collection slots tend to be 3/4 weeks away.

Mine is now “in transit from factory”. Seeing is believing, but better than the last update which was basically “no idea where it’s gone”. 5-6 weeks from factory to dealer?
Who knows?
This at least means they are building them, and the pipeline is moving for everybody else. Hopefully.
When did you order mate? Who knows?

Update from my dealer contact who is wonderful despite this situation;
We took around 50 Touaregs off the VW deal in March 2021 (there were 150 in total I think for the UK). Out of the Listers batch (and I would take the assumption that this is the same for everyone!) I would say 2 have been built so far. A further 3 have been ‘locked’ in to build, but have been locked in for week 36 2021 (September) and still not built.. so around 20 weeks delayed so far.
At locked in stage, they’re usually built to 99% then sat waiting for the final semiconductor parts.. and as we know the black editions have the most out of all cars! So I am just waiting for them to be built and shipped still.
The other 40 odd are all still unconfirmed, moving like there’s no tomorrow, and just carnage.. and the reason why we have had so many people cancel.
Will keep you as up to date as possible - once it’s built 3-6 weeks to dealer currently.
