VW Touareg Lease Deal
Discussion
The problem is the model you’re finally getting will be the pre-facelift.
I’ve been watching an R on Autotrader, it ticks all the boxes, there’s a deal to be done, but it’ll be out of date as dealers are taking orders for the new shape soon and deliveries in Dec (yeah I know that’s never gonna happen).
I know there’s always something new around the corner, but with a facelift announced the residuals are gonna be horrendous.

I’m looking forward to seeing one of the light refreshed models on the road… see if I can spot the difference.

More Oil Needed…….
Just got back from a c.1,600 mile round trip to Germany.
After driving down from the Midlands to the channel tunnel, had the completely unreassuring orange light and message saying I had to add more oil. Luckily easily remedied with the purchase and top of a litre from a garage in the Calais terminal. So this is 2 litres used in the first 4,000 miles and it’s approaching minimum on the digital dipstick. Will be getting in touch with VW shortly.
Otherwise my comments on the car are largely the same as everybody else. Great performance and reasonable economy - some unrestricted autobahn driving proved this ;-)
It was also very comfortable over long distances. No complaints from me on the gearbox however.
But I also agree the “crash avoidance system” needs work. It has been occasionally administering adrenalin shots around my body:
1. I was not about to mount the curb at 30mph and run over a cyclist
2. Passing a lorry at 70mph on an empty motorway does not require full on breaking, alarms and seat belt tensioners !!!! Not what you want late at night after 12 plus hours on the road…..

Can anybody help?
Had the dreaded tyre pressure bing bing the other day.
Pulled over it didn't seem too bad, paid a £1 to use the air pump at the petrol station. Pressure was 30 where we have it at 36.
Anyway...
Nowhere in the dash does it say the tyre pressures. Just an "all is ok".
Also no way at all to see when adblue is due.
The app has said the same for weeks.

I think you need t put correct pressures in and then re-set the system on the big screen Had the dreaded tyre pressure bing bing the other day.

I’ve noticed my oil getting low but now being prompted for an oil and filter service after having had the car for 12 months and covered only 6k miles …. Seems a bit over the top but will have it done shortly I guess as per schedule.
The car will be on 10k/12 month schedule so the service alert is correct.Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
