Seat/Skoda 1.2- chain or belt

Junior Blue is looking at his first car. His personal favourites and budget have put the Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo or Seat Ibizia 1.2 FR at the top of the list.
Cars he is looking at are 2012-2014 with around 70-80000 miles. I’ve looked on google and am still unsure whether they are cam chain or belt. It seems there was a change over at some point and different posts give different info.
Some definitive info on which one, along with intervals would be welcome.
