2015 golf 1.4 t s I cam belt?
Discussion
As with other VAG timing belt intervals, there tends to be a difference between what the manufacturer says and then also between what most European and UK importing agents say.
You'll see some references to the EA211 1.4 engine having a "lifetime" belt that needs inspection at c.140k miles - and this is often what's followed and / or recommended in other markets. Nonetheless, UK VAG brand importers and dealers tend to say replacement is due at 5 years (or 140k in this example, whichever is first).
If you intend to keep the car for a while, then I'd personally do it now at 6 years. I did our Transporter 2.0 TDI's cambelt at 5 years because it's a keeper, though I suspect it would have been fine without.
