For anyone that has a car on the RCC Europe (that's me that is biggrin ) ... according to marinetraffic.com it's just entered the English Channel. Scheduled to reach Emden on the 18th August. Getting closer smile

I think I'm on that

Morning

We have checked the Vw system and we can see it has left South Africa, it is now near the Netherlands on route to Port Emden, Germany.

Once in Emden it will be reassigned to another boat to the UK, this can take a few weeks.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks lands overnight.

Have a great bid on the GTI+ we have. Paid 1500 less for it 2.5 years ago redface. Think I'll have to let it go in next two weeks in anticipation.

You're probably 2-3 weeks from having your car. Depends if they check them again in Emden.
Mine took 3 weeks to arrive at dealership, and it was earlier than they expected. As I was quoted mid September

Courtesy of a chap on uk-polos.net

"Looking at the KESS shipping schedule, Elbe Highway (currently heading to Bremerhaven) is due into Emden on Wednesday 24th and then onto Sheerness on the 25th. So I'm expecting to hear from my dealer next Thursday hopefully."

Fingers crossed.

That was my post Mike. smile

I saw your in Scotland, so your looking out for a ship heading to the Tyne port.

The ship City of Stpetersburg arrived this morning at Emden and it looks like it does the run to Emden to Tyne consistently so I reckon yours will go on that hopefully.

The ship you mention looks to currently be docked in the same place as the RCC Europe was yesterday. I wonder if I could be lucky enough that it picks my car straight up? TBC I suppose.

Unluckily for me, it looks like this ship has just left for Grimsby. Unless it does the run to the Tyne later in the week.

Just checked the shipping movements for the Port of Tyne. And it looks like the City of St. Petersburg is due in on the 27/08/2022 at 16:59 from Emden.

So... fingers crossed my car will be on this.

TBC

PS. This stalking is starting to become a bit obsessive eek

Email update from my dealer this morning confirming that my car is currently in Emden awaiting shipping to the UK (something I had already worked out for myself). But at least they appear to be trying to keep me updated.

It will soon be with you Mike. They`ve been a long time coming. It has to be the longest we`ve waited for a car, wasn`t this long for my 2 Scoobies wink

Excellent news smile

The City of St. Petersburg after dropping cars off at Grimsby, is now heading back to Emden for another run to the Tyne (hopefully with my car on it). Due in at Tyne on Saturday the 27th August. I rather hope my car gets on it, as from looking at the shipping schedule for the Port of Tyne, there doesn't appear to be another Ro-Ro due in for quite a while!
