My car arrived at the port (sheerness) this morning. smile

I'm picking it up at the end of next week.

Any news on yours arriving Worsy?
That's fast MrPolo thumbup
Mines still in the compound, a Polo GTI that was keeping it company has now moved to service bay area.
I was expecting more cars tbh in the compound. probably a dozen at most. Likely expecting another lot of transport vehicles.

I had a reply from my chase today.

Dealer said:
Good morning,

Thank you for your email.

It has arrived at Emden docks in Germany, and been assigned to another boat for the UK.

Once we get notification from VW UK that it has arrived in the UK docks and been handover to the transport company we will be in contact then.
Getting the wife's car gone this coming week and hopefully we'll know something later next week too.

Edited to say looks like the schedule is

Elbe Highway Emden 24/8 to Sheerness 25/8
Danube Highway Emden 31/8 to Sheerness 1/9
Elbe Highway Emden 7/9 to Sheerness 8/9

They will drive it to me for free or transporter deliver for 250. Or of course I can take a day off work and collect. Not sure what to do.

If it was me and I could not pick it up myself, then I would swallow the transporter delivery charge.

Luckily being retired, every day is a holiday for me (ha) smile
It's a great drive along the coast from Ayr (where the dealership is) to Dumfries for me. Probably swing inland at some point and the come home via the Galloway hills.

Yes that is what I'm thinking. However ArnoldClark have just reneged on the price for the wife's Polo so am down a few hundred there too. frown

It is indeed 😁
But it opens slightly differently to my older sons A1, when you only want it just to open slightly and not retract.
( I need to read the manual)

@MrPolo originally we were going to order grey, but my son changed his mind in the dealership when he saw a blue polo. I really, really liked the grey, although I suppose it adds colour to my drive. Perhaps 3 grey vehicles is too much. wink
How are you finding it ?
We have an annoying rattle/creak somewhere in the front.

It's really nice to drive, I went with DSG which is very smooth. No rattles or creaks for me thankfully.

Only thing I don't really like is the lane keep assist, going around potholes and driving on narrow country lanes the car wants to keep pulling back to the left! I might just disable it every time I start the car.

I forgot I also went with the wireless charging pad option - which I wouldn't recommend, it's completely temperamental when it wants to charge the phone or not.

Fingers crossed you can sort that rattle out smile

Can you not disable the "lane keep assist" permanently?
That's pants if you can't!
