Mine was standard spec in white with 19" wheels. What has everyone else gone for?
Poverty spec for me in white - wanted more but for me its about the deal - I wont see the wheels from the inside but I will feel sad when I go out to the garage to get in it
Got chatting to the owner of an Edition 45 a couple of weekend’s ago, his was moonstone and obviously standard with the black 19’s estorills I think. Looked bloody lovely he also mentioned it is infinitely better than the 7.5 R he had previously, I also had a 7.5 R Wagon and loved it so to say I am expecting great things is an huge under estimate.
My comparison is a bit skewed - I had a 7R with a manual box on a cheap lease between 2014 and 1016. My GTI CS is a better drivers car even with the auto box but road noise/refinement and general build quality has gone back a step if compared to that 7R. For example closing a door isnt anything like a thunk!
Blast to drive though and the term go kart gets banded around a lot, but it's true here. I think when better weather comes it will really become a great car to have.

Exceptional build on my 7.5 also did not develop a rattle and no issues in my 3 years on the cheap deals of Yesteryear! Loved that car and indeed the deal !

Mine was dolphin grey - just for a change really as last Cupra was white, previous Golf R wagon was black. But like others I went for std. 18" wheels and regretting it - the more I look at them the less I like them. Still not got a concrete build date.

Folks be prepared for a bit of build week bingo, I’ve had a bit of a frustrating time with mine.

I had no build week for an absolute age, then up pops week 24 (2023). I usually email the dealer every couple of months or so and then got a surprise when it came up with a week 5………..

I emailed again on their return to work after the festive period and got a week 15, still unconfirmed. I’ve read a few similar stories from people in other forums and nobody seems to understand why the factory does it.

I’m not trying to dampen your enthusiasm, but I’ve resigned myself to the fact that it’ll take an age to arrive.

Sounds quite familiar actually, had the same with a Tiguan order which I finally got today after various build week allocations. Until it's confirmed, it doesn't really mean anything...

Yip, enquired on mine today. Before Xmas had provisional build week 8. Now it doesn't even have a provisional build week. So that bit of hope dashed. Could be a good while yet.

A friend of mine ordered one in Q1 2022 and was given a suggested build date of July 2022. It’s still not been built!

Ordered mine 27/01/2022. Delivery was initially 30/06/2022. Currently mine doesn't even have a preliminary build slot. Did before Xmas but been taken off completely apparently. Didn't even know that was possible.

I'm beginning to think they are deliberately trying to pee me off so I cancel, due to the deal I got. (£340 a month, no initial, maintained).

It does seem strange that ours were honoured on the mis-price for sure and we either have no news or dates slipping! Have to say in reality I just think we have been unlucky rather than a conspiracy of ours being on the wrong price, not sure if it was just you and me who managed to get in before the problem came to light or if there were others. VW will build and supply the car it will be Arval loosing money as it was there error. Not spoken with Arval a great deal however when I do they are always pushing if you want to cancel we fully understand. These cars will be with us all early summer at the latest so a little more patience and we will hopefully have them without the salt grime and potholes! Here’s hoping

Point well made. I have not had what I call fun in the car over the winter with the damp etc so definitely a vehicle that will come alive more in the summer months. Only put 1100 miles on it since mid-October.

Anyone else now becoming extremely frustrated by the albeit limited number of brand new or a few month old Clubsports that are now appearing in the classifieds for ridiculously inflated prices.

I’m seeing other forums people offering there yet to be delivered cars for sale. If you don’t want it cancel it, I’m sure there’s many of us that would like to move up the queue for one.

Or is it just me…….
