Colour is very nice and I might regret my choice a little, I think the grey came in around 20 quid a month more so stuck with lease white! Rims look don't look bad at all.
Lol I remember the lease thread well, went crazy for a few days with half the forum claiming the deal wasn't true and all the mixed messages from Arval. I guess the lucky few who were quick enough and persevered had the last laugh...
Don't be worrying, white suits it Lol I remember the lease thread well, went crazy for a few days with half the forum claiming the deal wasn't true and all the mixed messages from Arval. I guess the lucky few who were quick enough and persevered had the last laugh...

Hey all,
Been following this thread for a while and just received my Clubsport so wanted to add my experience so far.
I'm not sure if I got lucky but I ordered mine about 2 months ago and it has arrived. I got offered a Moonstone with zero options, just couldn't resist the deal. At £380 a month maintained with no deposit, it seemed like such a steal for what it is. I had a new R on order but canceled as I do very little mileage (4500 a year) and this was over £200 a month cheaper. Was apprehensive about it with it being FWD but so far I'm impressed with how capable it is. I think with a decent set of tires and not the Bridgestone's it comes on, it could turn into a lot more fun.
I'm coming out of a 2019 golf R (which had all the updated digital dash etc and a few options) so I think I have a pretty good comparison to benchmark both on - so far it's definitely been a lot to get used to with the infotainment being very annoying and me constantly turning the heated steering wheel on when trying to change the song I'm listening too.
Also, does anyone else feel like the lane assist is trying to kill them?
Overall for what it's costing I really can't fault it, I'm fortunate enough to have another vehicle for the weekend high-speed drives, but for a daily I think this takes some beating.

I have no complaints - I am used the lane assist on my previous car - I like the infotainment - took a couple of drives to get used to it but it works well I think when you are used to it except that you have to enter the climate system to change the fan speed which is a PITA.Been following this thread for a while and just received my Clubsport so wanted to add my experience so far.

Hope you enjoy yours - I went from a Tiguan (no longer need to take the kids to Uni) to this so its a real difference where you might be taking a bit of step backwards from the R

Stuck at work, and had a nightmare trying to swap the insurance over - telling me the car doesn't exist or hasn't been registered. Even though it's sitting in my drive and taxed. I'll take it out for a blast tonight and report back
But looks nice - not sure the wheels suit this colour compared to others mind. But hopefully they'll grow on meStan 1970 said:

To be honest, it doesn't feel like a step back in terms of speed, id love to see it up against the previous model R (cant find any vids online if anyone can??) I'm sure it's not that much slower. I did a timed run near where I live (i know very sad) but i like to benchmark my cars and friend's cars over this particular windy, national speed limit b roads and the Clubsport is nearly 2 seconds quicker than my fastest time in my R. Low end and launch control it, it feels slower of the mark but i think thats due to it been FWD. I've never actually had a FWD car so maybe I'm not used to it. The turn in is incredible and it feels a lot lighter. It's probably not but that's just how it feels! overall its alot of fun and I enjoy hooning it. Just wish arval would let me put an exhaust on it ! I'll upload a pic once it allows me on here.

Yes yes my man is that all of them now? Super chuffed you have it and your trip to Germany was a good one. Enjoy
Went out for a bit of a blast around last night. First impressions -:quick! Ride seems pretty good considering no DCC. Makes some great pops and bangs which I like, me being a big child . Seems it was worth the wait. Especially as a friend of mine is paying more for an Astra....Don't know if everyone is aware but you can turn lane assist off with the button on the end of the indicator stalk and then press ok on the steering wheel and then press the button on the stalk again. Bit of a pain but at least its off for your journey.
Or code it off permanently with something like OBDeleven.

The car was driven to me, not on a transporter. It's managed to collect millions of dead flies obviously. I had wanted to avoid swirls etc by getting a ceramic coating or similar straight away. Just wondering what you guys have done, any suggestions? Was hoping not to have to scrape flies off first Sportaz said:
