I have no complaints - I am used the lane assist on my previous car - I like the infotainment - took a couple of drives to get used to it but it works well I think when you are used to it except that you have to enter the climate system to change the fan speed which is a PITA.
Hope you enjoy yours - I went from a Tiguan (no longer need to take the kids to Uni) to this so its a real difference where you might be taking a bit of step backwards from the R
To be honest, it doesn't feel like a step back in terms of speed, id love to see it up against the previous model R (cant find any vids online if anyone can??) I'm sure it's not that much slower. I did a timed run near where I live (i know very sad) but i like to benchmark my cars and friend's cars over this particular windy, national speed limit b roads and the Clubsport is nearly 2 seconds quicker than my fastest time in my R. Low end and launch control it, it feels slower of the mark but i think thats due to it been FWD. I've never actually had a FWD car so maybe I'm not used to it. The turn in is incredible and it feels a lot lighter. It's probably not but that's just how it feels! overall its alot of fun and I enjoy hooning it. Just wish arval would let me put an exhaust on it ! I'll upload a pic once it allows me on here.
My Golf R lease had a JB1 fitted and my S5 lease had a full milltek carbon intake bms airfilter tdi tuning box and OEM smoked rear lights. All returned to stock before return and no issues. Not saying there isn't any risk but there's no way to prove you had an aftermarket one on if returned to stock.
That B9 S5 with the Milltek sounded epic.

Unless they no longer visit the page - we just had 3 people plus me who stayed with the wait and got the lease - maybe thats how people have got them quicker on a cancelled order?
I’m still here, just got a confirmed build date of…… next week. That’s only been 18 months from order. Now I’ve got a wait for the car to be delivered through the apparently massive backlog of cars waiting to be shipped from the port.I can just see a tiny of light approaching the end of a very dark tunnel.

Just driven 240 miles to Cambridge and the car has an excellent fault - keeps telling me to take over the steering even though I am. And then does the sharp blip on the brakes as it must think I've fallen asleep. Must have did this 10 times on the trip. Think I've got whiplash . Seems like the sensor for seeing if I've done any steering input is not sensitive enough. To get rid of the warning I've got to really move the wheel quite a bit. My Cupra had the same feature and never had this problem. Hope it's an easy fix...Sportaz said:

Well, it’s been a strange couple of weeks I can just see a tiny of light approaching the end of a very dark tunnel.
After being told my car was being built and likely to be delayed by logistics. It’s arrived the week after it’s confirmed build week. They must’ve stuck it on a boat by itself.
Picking it up tomorrow, wee boy in a sweetie shop springs to mind

Did you get it sorted?
Nope, booked it into VW but earliest I can get a courtesy car is 4 weeks time. No cruise control for a while. In general though really pleased with it. Averaging 16mpg which tells its own story . The pops and cracks must use a lot of fuel....
One bad point is the standard stereo. Worst system I've had in a car for a while. Possibly because my stopgap Mazda had a Bose stereo which was pretty good makes it worse. Any higher volumes and it sounds awful.
