It depends on your driving to whether you should be on short or long life. The dealers usually set them all to long life at PDI but it should be discussed with the customer. I have been down the rabbit hole on this topic with multiple dealers and VW to get the answer.

If your doing the motorway commutes to work longer distance driving then long life is fine.

If you do mainly short journeys, town driving and the odd a/b road drive it should be on shorter life and new oil every year

It’s not just about the amount of miles. Appalling form from VW on communication about this

Yeah its a strange one. Earliest date for the service is 28th Feb! I have the Arval service and tyre package so no issue from the cost side just seemed early. Thanks for the feedback!
