Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Expensive Bits, Cheap Bits, Always Breaking Bits, Bits that fall off and won't go back on?

Handling?
Engine?

Things to look out for?
Models to avoid?
Models to look for?

Anybody got any experience with one of these?

All comments greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Stuart!

I assume you're talking about the "Type 88" based 90, the "rounded" one, as opposed to the earlier boxy "Type 85" Version.

Find a good one, FSH - indestructable. Even better, go for the quattro. Better yet, go for the 20 valve quattro. Best - try to find the 90 quattro 20 valve sport, reckoned to be the unsung hero of Audis late '80s line up, with near perfect handling characteristics, ample performance, almost unlimited lifespan etc etc. My brother drives a 90 20 valve non-sport and won't swap it for anything.

Remarkable value if you find a good one. The only problem Steve has had is exhaust hangers tending to stretch prematurely, and ABS sensors going out of adjustment. Hardly big problems. Engine is at 100k plus and seems just run-in.

Perfect! Just what I wanted to hear!

Seems a good one can be had for around 1500!

I can get insurance for a little over what I should be paying on my Onion!

Me thinks I could have a 'new' car on my inventory soon!
