Hi there

As per the title, how much does a typical service for a Mark 3 Golf GTI 8 Valve cost?

I've been offered one that hasn't been serviced in possibly 16k miles, so will probably need a good going over

Parts are all cheap - even the cam belt is <2 hours labour.

For a 'major' - get onto www.gsfcarparts.com and price up oil, coolant, filters, plugs, belts, tensioner and might as well do water pump while you're at it (for piece of mind).

Throw all that at a friendly local mechanic and maybe 2-3 hours?
