Special Edition A4??

Recently i've seen quite a few A4 Avants around that are black, with black rather than chrome trim and they look superb. I think they've all been 2.0T's as well. Is this some sort of special edition or have some people just had the same idea?

I think it's an option called the 'black optics pack'. Personally it's not my cup of tea - it looks like bits were missed off at the factory to me.

Yes, there was/is a special edition version with black optic pack. also included engine upgrade, leather seats, suspension and rs4 style alloys

Oh yes, wheels was the other thing I forgot. Might be a nice load lugger in a few years. (Probably is one now for those who can afford it!)

I used to sell Audis. These are A4 S-Line Special Editions, made to look like RS4s with the black optic pack and 18" (rather than 19&quot RS4 style wheels. They were only available with the 2.0T petrol and 2.0 TDI 170 engines I believe and also came with black/graphite two tone leather sports seats. Quattro was an option too I believe. Really nice spec cars that look superb. The A4 chassis is really starting to feel its age now IMHO though...

Didnt the 2.0T SEs have the tuned 220bhp motor in it (same as in my DTM)?

Yes Fubar you're right on the 2.0T version. Sadly I only ever sold Derv ones....
