Came accross this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/247022.htm in the classified and thought who would want to put that (whatever it is) in the boot and leave no space in a so called 'family car'? or is it just me?

Been offered that, seems it's been on sale for a long time.

As if the colour wasn't bad enough!

Not mine, I am a mere sales monkey smile

That RS6 is freakishly clean and nicely stealthed (18s, no badges, black zorts). They won't let me play with it though frown

What is the benefit of 18's over 19's? it looks nice. I'm interesting in swaping out of my 2 current motors into 1 (possibily an RS6) - i've got a 2002 Range Rover HSE 4.4 (62k on the clock) and a 2001 TVR cerbera 4.5 with 13500 on the clock. whats the chances??? - I see your note a million miles from me (I'm in Kingston upon Thames)

On the 19s, on a particularly broken surface there is a slightly jarring edge to the ride that the 18s remove a lot of (taller and marginally softer sidewall). They don't look quite as 'butch' but I guess it's down to what you prefer and the 19s aren't expensive.

Possibly not the place to talk about p/exs and the like, but my email is alex@fontain.co.uksmile

Well you could take the system out.Personally i like my subs in my car, giving a nice sound, but these look a bit over the top.you can get smaller sub boxes that still would give a nice output.Very,Very impressive car,and the colour is superb.

As he says above, the 19's give you more "feel" of the road beneath you but not very noticeable. From a cosmetic point of view they look a lot better than 18’s, and they are known really as the RS6 wheel. I’d be more worried about the DRC which really is the Achilles heel on these cars, get the system checked and double checked because it can end up being very expensive to replace like for like. You do though have the alternative of removing the system altogether and going for an aftermarket set up. Head over to rs246.com for a ton of info on these cars.

They're nearly 700 quid a corner including rubber (Genuine wheels, not replicas) so it depends on your definition of expensive really

someone who feels a need to fit speakers that big is IMO desperately trying to compensate for something else in their life

I like the look of the first three photos, But them it all gets a little too much loser. It has to be a joke ! To afford a sporty classy mulit purpose vehicle like this and then put a teenagers sub box in. Unless it has been twocked and the tea leaves have left the sound system in.
