golf gti mk5 tyres

What tyres do you guys recommend for the GTi. I used to rate sport contact2's on my old car but would like some advice for the Gti. Also if front and rear pair different does it make any difference to feel (could put front ones on rear etc).

I've always used Goodyear F1 GSD3's next time some of the same by asymmetric. Or friends have gone for Toyo Proxies.

I fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 2s to mine - they gripped well and look great !

I was a fan of Goodyear F1 GSD3s but I've just bought a set of F1 Asymmetrics and have to say they are pretty damn good

I sell alloy wheels and tyres for a living and have tried every tyre going Toyo T1-Rs, Conti Sport Contact 2/3s, Pirelli P Zeros etc. The best tyre on the market at the moment in my opinion is the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric without doubt. Don't know about wear rate yet as they have not been on that long.
