Imported Golf GTI Mk V
Discussion
Happened to notice a place near Chesterfield sells Golf GTis that I assume are imports.
What is the deal with this - I realise they are more difficult to sell on and so any up front saving is arguably lost when you sell it on. But why are people nervous - is it just scaremongers ?

Not sure if 21995 is a good price for an almost fully loaded 3 door DSG. I see Motorpoint in Derby has an R32 (with cloth) for about the same.

The answer i got to this question from the GM at a local dealership was ' well they are all imports' so why worry. The only difference is that you wont get the 3rd year dealer supported warrenty but you can buy an equivelent for about £200. They even have an arrangement with services guys to buy them in Germany, run them for 6 months and then sell on to the dealer.
My local VW dealership sells used GTI's that have been imported for the same price as UK dealer supplied cars which tells you what they really think!
