I have come across a rather mint 96/N 76,000 mile Mk3 Golf Driver for pennies.

Can anyone recommend a decent non-backbreaking suspension kit for this car? I just want to upgrade the handling rather than the engine...

thanks in advance...

New dampers (~150), Eibach spring kit (~170), GTI roll bars (50 from a breaker?) and poly bushes for the same (30).

Should taughten it up nicely without making ride quality silly or breaking the bank entirely. Do the top mounts at the same time as they're probably tired anyway, use genuine VAG rather than GSF ones.

Lovely, but would probably blow the budget before any other mods are looked at to accompany frown
