Ur Quattro 225/50/15 0n a 215/50/15?
Discussion
Hi all,
Quick question- im looking to change my tyres on my Quattro. They are currently 215/50/15 and I am finding it had to replace this type of tyre. I have been told I can put on 225/50/15. Will this affect the handling and control or will this be a feasable option? Any ideas?
Many thanks

You really dont need to lower these cars they were designed to be the height they are because they work best and look best at that height. If you start playing with ride height it really messes up the geometry of the rest of the suspension and needs some specialist knowhow on resetting everything.
Keep it standard and go for 225's

I may be mistaken but weren't the 20 valves set slightly lower than the 10valves? My RR certainly looked about 1/2' lower than the WR I'm currently fiddling around with. But I agree with your principle, I think they look crap when seriously lowered, esp when also fitted with daft wheels.Keep it standard and go for 225's
