Afternoon - just been out in the car and a warning light is coming up - little picture of an engine in the rev counter dial - had a look in the book and it says book it into Audi as it's an emissions / cat problem.

Any ideas what it is / what needs doing?

it's a 56 plate 2.0T - it should be under warranty but have heard horror stories about broken cats before. The car was stood for a week before I used it today - washed it (with a sponge so haven't jet washed myself a problem) and there it was........

thanks - Neil

If its under warranty and you have a full service history book it into your local main dealer, as long as you havn't done anything daft like putting the wrong fuel in it you wont be charged.

Mine did this after a few months - turned out to be a faulty Lambda sensor, replaced under warranty.

My father in law's old A3 had the same problem and that also turned out to be the lambda. Warranty covered it, no quibbling.

My wifes Leon Cupra did that, it was a leaky vacuum hose
