Hi,

I've been looking into CAIs and wondered if anyone had any suggestions into which is the best?

Also, is the K&N induction kit not a CAI? Not dead sure about these things but I think they're pretty much the same? It's just that I've heard a few people say it's not worth upgrading to these kits, but then on another hand some people have said u can see 5 - 10bhp and torque increases as well as lowering air temperature considerably.

Many thanks

Personally I'd say don't bother, the money is better spent elsewhere - suspension

I tried all manner of these type kits and have a cold air feed to the standard airbox and paper filter. Drives smoother... other than that can't tell the difference

Open filters on these engines don't really work in real life and the air flow meters dont like them much. On the rollers with a air condesor blasting cool air directly on to them yes they give 10hp but close the bonnet and drive (real life) you lose 10hp thru heat soak so no point.
If your wanting a filter system then an enclosed system like BMC Cda will give good gains and throttle resonse with the added whoose noise when coming of the throttle as a bonus. Other than that a panel filter still gives 3-5hp over OE and costs just £40.

Hope this helps

I would not bother, there is no gain in BHP, only in noise, but if that is what your after, go for it.

I would go for a Diverter Valve upgrade from Forge if the car has been remaped, mush better investment.
