Hello
Is it possible to DIY reset the service indicator on a Golf V 2.0TDi? It's my Mum's car and it's been serviced at a local garage. There was a way we could do it on her old Mark 4 - some combo of clock/odo buttons I think. Would be good to know if we can do it on her new one now it's (thankfully) out of main dealer hands.
Cheers
Rick

I think it has to be done by VAG-COM. Surely the dealer should have been able to so it for you though as thats part of the service...

I'm sure iy can be reset using the trip meter button like previous versions but it will revert to Time & Distance service regime.

You need VAG.COM if you want to reset the longlife service regime

we took the wife's to local VAG dealer and said its been put on teh wrong service schedule.
They changed it no questions asked.
Also have reset the service lights for us too when the car was serviced and the monkey forgot to do it.

IIRC the gut turned the ignition off / on a number of times in a sequence and pushed some of the dash buttons
