My 59 reg one didn't, but it was standard later on. Not sure when though....

Spec pretty poor - no nav - only options I see are full leather (not supersport), 19s, front parking sensors
+cruise
+B&O
D'oh! Spotted the B&O speaker grills as well, but forgot to list it lol

To the OP asking for opinion - best bet is to to on the Audi UK web site and download a brochure that's appropriate to the age of S4 you're looking for and work out what options are desirable/essential for you, and which you'd like.

As said above assume it has nothing and you won't be disappointed!

Our S5 is very high spec but still misses a number of options

Also worth noting there are 3 different levels of sat nav on the B8 platform, although if you're looking at pre-facelift (so not the B8.5) you're effectively looking at tech pack low (aka MMI2G) with DVD nav drive in the boot and a x6 CD changer in the dash, AMI and Bluetooth phone prep, or tech pack high (aka MMI3G) with HDD based nav, audio jukebox, DVD and x2 SD card slots in the dash, AMI and bluetooth. There's also MMI 3G Basic which runs off the DVD slot in the dash or you can copy the files to an SD card.

If useful I have (virtually) all of the PDF brochures back to ~2008 and am happy to send over as required.

thanks Dr G, will just look a bit more closely at the ads from now on!

am looking at this on saturday, bit pricey perhaps but seems a nice spec. more sensible than an RS6 that i currently have a deposit on!

Unusually, no B&O - it's such a cheap option that most have it. Looks like potentially 3G basic nav, unless the CD changer has been swapped for the SD card module (prob a retrofit)

My favourite wheels and colour on an S4 smile

Yes, that's DVD navigation and still works OK but is a fairly dated system now.

Look closely at the paint on that car; see reflections on rear bumper in pictures on that advert.

Front and rear bumper look like they may be a slightly different shade than the main body but pictures can be deceptive. Rear definately showing a more matt sheen (less polished/shiny) and more orange peel. Looks like rear at least may have been replaced/resprayed. Not necessarily a problem.

Completely agree - but when you can see the finish differs so much in a photo it's worth closer inspection. No paint-repairs at all on a car of that age would be a miracle.

Does anyone have any experience fitting a roof box and bike carriers to the Avant with flush Whispbars? I've been told it's not possible, but I thought it might be with a skinny box... I have the Thule pro bike carriers if that helps with the suggestions.

I suspect you'll struggle for width - only way I can see it working is to get the roof box right over to 1 side and then top to tail the bikes to avoid handlebar clashes. The Thule bike carriers are pretty wide - on our S5 we've had a Thule roof box and would've managed 1 bike as well but the box is an Atlantis 780 so not the narrowest

Really like that. Looks great. Nice to see a "colour", rather than grey/black etc.

Is that some sort of "black pack", which gets rid of the chrome? Don't like the chrome on mine, never have. Can you retro-fit the black fits?!

Black styling package - if you wanted to retrofit you'd be looking at removing all of the glass and spending a fortune doing so but I have seen a few people vinyl wrap the trim with decent results.

Radiator grille is the easiest to simply replace but unless you get lucky on a used one in good condition they're £400+ alone.

'Black' versions came with 19" wheels, black trim and B&O stereo.

I think black trim looks best on mid or light coloured cars but on dark ones like my Lava Grey, I prefer the silver trim for a bit of contrast.

That's "Black Edition".

Black styling package was available as an option on a 'normal' S4 and standard on the above.

Random event today: Drive Select "individual" mode had magically reset itself to all "Auto",

Oops. Just realised I was using the "other" key, and Drive Select settings are tied to the key!

Is that standard behaviour or part of the seat memory option?

My first though too. Friend of mine had just had the same in his 911. Well, a pine marten but still. It destroyed all the insulation and knackered the wiring loom. Many thousands in repair costs. He noticed because the aircon smelled of urine......

I'd get it checked asap. Maybe lay some traps.
