engines out...definately see where the speed 6 cats exhaust runs near the chassis, and has burnt off the powdercoat, but apart from that, all is well
loom for LS is done, opted to use emerald this time

steering pumps
i've currently fitted an astra steering pump to the griff with the scooby rack.
it works fine. The astra pump provides fluid flow when it senses that fluid is needed, so you have very little assistance unless moving the wheel a lot. n the road this feels ok, but you do have a feeling of heaviness on the wheel at dead centre, when there is no fluid assistance. This might not be the case with smaller tyres, but my 235/40/17 without PAS do need some persuasion to turn...... (hence fitting Pas)
I wanted to try a continuous flow pump, so see if i liked that "feel"......so opted to fit a saxo style pump which was lashed in situ at growl.
after a couple hundred miles, decided i prefer the feel of this, slightly lighter around dead centre without becoming overly assisted, so will probably keep that in favour of the astra unit.
