All I can say is..........
One time when driving my early Griff with no overflow tank. I had put in too much coolant so when it burped itself to find the correct coolant level the steam vented from between the bonnet edge near the screen where there is already mesh as std.
Also makes a mess on the sides of the alloy swirl pot which then needs cleaning - bummer.
Therefore I would say that area blows not sucks.
