Will do. I have to wait to buy one until I put the engine and gearbox back in my tvr s3 which will be in about a month or two but at least that gives me plenty of time to look around. Thanks for all the help so far.

Just out of interest, have any of you taken your 928s on a trackday?

I did two Sprints and a Hillclimb with mine. I was competing in a Chevron Single Seater that season, but fancied the odd more relaxing event. In the pi$$ing rain I won the class at a Sprint, beating the record holder in his Caterham 7. They do handle well and are very easy to correct (the 50/50 weight dist helps) and are not slow. I have had four 911's over the years, including a turbo and a late 993, and IMHO the 928 is a better handling and balanced car than any of them.
I noticed somebody posted that 0 - 60 was 7 secs. That is wrong. An S4 or GT is under 6 secs, pretty much the same as a 993. Have no fear about a trackday, a 928 well driven will be match for most things. This is especially true in the rain when you sit in your multi adjustable leather seat, with the Aircon keeping the glass clear, no water leaks, wipers that clear the screen up to 160mph, but you may miss the damp carpet mingled with GRP smell that we are all familiar with !!
I must stop now as again I have suggested a bad thing and may get binned again !!!
